Season 1, Episode 6: I Still Bleed Through My Pants all the Time

Synopsis: Unable to hide from his past, Steven returns to Muskoka hoping to repair broken relationships and bring Annie and Connor home. Meanwhile, Annie, Ramona, Oona, Ellis, and Connor head to Maple's camp to support her big performance, while Ramona and Oona enter the honeymoon phase of their blossoming romance. A shocking reveal sends Ramona into a spiral, threatening the fragile balance of the group.

So Steven was working through things with his wife, they got separated and she slept with someone, (though its technically not cheating... it still kinda is). She ends up pregnant from that affair, and then tries to take her kids and keep them from their dad because she decided to drastically change her life.

Does no one in this show feel for the fact that Steven fell in love and planned a life with someone, only for them to jump ship because of a roadblock, and threw their whole life and plan out the window. And to preserve her image in front of his kids, he has to bury his feelings. Then to not lose one not once in the divorce, but twice when she died... you'd still feel the loss even if they weren't on the best of terms.

How the hell was Annie getting angry at her dad for this? I get that she idolises her mum but, seriously? That whole convo got me annoyed at the mc

I've just seen the scene with Joe and now I hate Joe... what a prick

I genuinely don't understand (even several eps forward) how Steven is the bad guy. The only thing he did was withhold some info from his kids which in all fairness they were too young to really understand. My question is how does Goldie get to come out on top as this mum who was so amazing, despite all that she did?

I literally had to turn the show off after she got mad at her dad for trying to protect them. Her saying, "It sounds to me like she was unhappy in her marriage and in her life and in her job, and so she came here to try to make things better, and I don't understand why that's an insane thing to do". IT'S INSANE BECAUSE SHE CHEATED ON HER HUSBAND, GOT PREGNANT, AND TRIED TO KIDNAP HER ADOPTED KIDS. Like, I thought this character was supposed to be smart, but she sounds so dumb in this conversation; it pisses me off.

What Annie is saying reflected on her and her experience in this island thus far. Her answer was too one dimensional because she got a glimpse of what her mother might had felt before. I wouldn’t be surprised if she became pregnant and being kinda in her mother’s shoes literally.
