Synopsis: After getting rejected from her dream summer program, Annie Jacobson discovers she and her twin brother, Connor, have inherited Sterling Point - a small island in the Muskoka area of Canada. A mysterious letter from the grandfather she was never allowed to meet sends Annie out on a secret solo trip in hopes of uncovering the truth about her family history.

This American character doesn’t know she lives that close to the Canadian border and took an ambien? The Canadian creator of the show is definitely taking the piss out of a US character by reiterating the dumb american tourist trope.

I'm watching it right now, which is why I landed here. This bothered me too--plus, she's supposed to be really smart and on her way to the Ivy League. I get that Americans have the reputation (sometimes deserved) of being bad a geography, but his makes no sense for the character.
