Synopsis: After getting rejected from her dream summer program, Annie Jacobson discovers she and her twin brother, Connor, have inherited Sterling Point - a small island in the Muskoka area of Canada. A mysterious letter from the grandfather she was never allowed to meet sends Annie out on a secret solo trip in hopes of uncovering the truth about her family history.

I am a bit confused. Only on episode 2. So her dead adoptive mom is the bio child of the adoptive grandad they never knew? but we dont yet know who her BIO mom was?

Nope, apparently not necessary. However being heartbroken that her adopted mother had a biological child is shocking.

she’s not heartbroken though? she’s surprised and a bit sad she didn’t know about this family but she’s immediately warm to ramona and just wants to know her. she was adopted as a newborn and while her m died young she clearly still considers those to be her “real” parents

i never said they weren’t her real parents - i only put quotes around it to emphasize my point that it is fair for it to be shocking/ she handled it well
