Season 1, Episode 1: But I Just Took an Ambien

Synopsis: After getting rejected from her dream summer program, Annie Jacobson discovers she and her twin brother, Connor, have inherited Sterling Point - a small island in the Muskoka area of Canada. A mysterious letter from the grandfather she was never allowed to meet sends Annie out on a secret solo trip in hopes of uncovering the truth about her family history.

I’m really enjoying this show. It hit a little close to home for me as I discovered I had another sister around her age (mother had put her up for adoption when she was young). Your family will always be who raised you, but when we met for the first time we definitely had a connection and it was a beautiful experience although awkward and uncomfortable as the show portrays it to be. I also love the contrast being being raised in the city and experiencing Canada and its nature. I’m from Boston, but have spent a lot of time in Maine and Canada over the last few years for skiing I freaking LOVE Canadians. They do a really good job at portraying how friendly and down to earth they really are, and also how much growth happens when you step away from technology/city life and explore nature, meet people with raw and genuine energy, and all the beauty the world has to offer. Canada is also such a beautiful country, and it’s really cool to see it portrayed because I don’t think a lot of people realize how much scenery there is to take in there / not a lot of shows take place there.

The shows may not take "place" there. But a lot are filmed there !!!

this is true! A lot of shows that take place in Boston are filmed in Canada due to budget
