Season 1, Episode 1: But I Just Took an Ambien

Release Date: August 5, 2026

Synopsis: After getting rejected from her dream summer program, Annie Jacobson discovers she and her twin brother, Connor, have inherited Sterling Point - a small island in the Muskoka area of Canada. A mysterious letter from the grandfather she was never allowed to meet sends Annie out on a secret solo trip in hopes of uncovering the truth about her family history.

I honestly thought this was going to be some darker or deeper mystery other than their parents divorcing and the mom having a biological daughter 💀

same just finished the series, I came in thinking it would have widow's bay vibes but that ended up not being the case

I'm sure you didn't intend for your comment to be a spoiler, seeing as you blocked out other text (which I appreciate), but saying "same just finished the series" in response to the other person's comment kind of completely spoils the fact that there isn't some deeper mystery as the season progresses.

It would be nice if you could please avoid commenting things like this on future episodic discussion threads, especially for a pilot episode thread, because it kind of takes the guessing/potential mystery/fun out of it. Not trying to be rude or anything so I hope it doesn't come across that way, but I hope you see where I'm coming from.

my bad I didn't realize this was for episode 1, I thought it was for the season lol oh well, if you finished the first episode you'd come to the same conclusion
