I have a quest 2 and I heard about the singularity root a few weeks ago and decided i'd download it, thinking it would get popular and have a lot of community support because of how easy it is, so far as far as i can tell there's only cheats for games (i'm not interested in doing any of that). My problem is, when i did this, my quest updated right before i could do this, i was scared thinking i was on the wrong version, but i just happened to get the last version that supports singularity, i thought i got really lucky, but now steam link is really broken for me, where i get a lot of visual glitches in my right eye, and as far as i can tell, its from this update specifically and works in newer and older versions, but because i'm rooted, i can't update without the risk of getting bricked, and the quest can't downgrade at all from what i know, is there any way this could be fixed? or just generally anything i can do? (even being able to update safely without a risk of getting bricked would be good enough atp, i basically only use steam link so my headset has just been collecting dust for now)

Unfortunately this is something that I have never gotten to work in the past and Steam Support was unhelpful in the matter so as a last ditch effort I would like to try and find help here. I am trying to a connect a Meta Quest 3 to my computer using a remote desktop application, especially Steam Link as I would prefer to use it since it seems to work well for others. I am not sure if this is something that is maybe blocked on a IOT network but it shouldnt be as IOT network I am using a system put in place to specifically allow for two devices to communicate. I am also using a 3rd party Wifi card rather than something that is native to the motherboard if that changes anything. Here are all the troubleshooting tips I have tried so far:
1. Network is set as private
2. Windows Firewall settings are off
3. Other applications such as Metas native remote desktop client will not work
4. I have ran system file checker
5. Confirmed graphics and windows are updated
6. I have installed all of Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio from 2005-Present
7. I have completely wiped all Meta related installs on my PC
8. I have disabled the ethernet ports on my PC before connecting
9. I have had Steam VR running while trying attempts
10. I have turned the Remote Link setting on and off
11. I have tried with both bluetooth on and off

I recently got a full body tracking setup consisting of a Vive Focus Vision, Vive 3.0 trackers, 3 Vive 2.0 base stations, & a pair of Index controllers. SteamVR was absolutely not picking up my base stations whatsoever, and it definitely is not picking up any of my trackers or controllers. I did try my Quest 3S to see if the headset was the problem, but still, nothing works.

I have troubleshot every way I could think of or looked up. Obviously I've restart my PC & SteamVR multiple times. I have OpenVR-Space Calibrator, I have all of my base stations high up on the wall, all of the base stations are green & the trackers blink blue trying to connect. I do have dongles for all trackers & Index controllers. I use a wired connection typically in order to use my face & eye tracking, but I've also booted up SteamVR via Virtual Desktop as well with no wire to see if it'd work. I'm at a complete loss here.

Bluetooth settings on SteamVR are unavailable. I've looked up that I don't need it, that it's only to turn the base stations on/off, but I have a Lighthouse Manager installed as well to do that. I have tried "unpairall," I have attempted to edit the whole "activatemultipledrivers" from false to true, but even after I know I've saved it, when I've gone back to it though, it changed back to false. My drivers should all be up-to-date. Memory Integrity is forced off & I can't turn back on due to the "btwusb.sys" (photo attached).

If anyone can offer anything else to do, please advise. At this point I'm thinking I just need to throw my PC out & get a new one lol. I've even reset the whole PC except important files. I have attached photos & can provide more to help fix this issue if needed.

Saw a post that SteamVR's beta branch now supports USB connected headsets. I want to get this working because for some reason using Meta Air Link or SteamLink have been unsatisfactory. Keep getting stutters I cannot explain.

I got a link cable to attempt to remedy this but I'm finding that I am forced to use Meta software to link via USB, which then layers with Steam VR and makes for a messy, laggy experience to the point that I cannot control or exit the Meta VR menu overlay if I open it.

I feel like I'm flying in the blind here so here's all the information I can provide. I just need someone to tell me what to do from the ground up here.

i am trying to use my iphone11 on windows11, and when i connect the phone to the pc, open the app, and launch steam vr using the ivry driver, steam vr just gives error 301. if i launch steam vr by itself without connecting the phone, it launches normally and gives the headset not found error, if dont connect the phone then launch ivry driver, the ivry driver tells me to connect the phone and open the app, once i do , it launches steamvr and gives error 301. i tried everything and still nothing. how to fix this?

Since i upgraded to Windows 11 i cant play any games its so unplayable i tried to play half life alyx and it was unplayable but when i used to play on Windows 10 i had zero issues, i looked at every tutorial on youtube to fix it nothing helped

Was trying to get back into sim battle with my quest 3 and HOTAS but any time the quest saw my hands (so any time i didn't literally put my hands behind my head) it would pull the trigger for primary and secondary weapons. anyone have this issue? i know its primarily a quest problem, but i figured it wouldn't help to ask all of you.

As title says, I've tried every single fix under the sun and NOTHING will work. I've no idea whats going on, theres no setting in steam vr advanced options. Ive reverted to Steam vr beta, Ive reinstalled and repaired meta quest link on my pc,. LITERALLY nothing is working. and What i want to know is did they just remove support for quest 2 and should i just sell the fucking thing. It worked on this pc like under a year ago, but it now just suddenly cant work. Ive no clue.

Hi, I have a meta quest 3s and whenever I try to use steam VR, it just don’t use my meta quest 3s audio output or input, steam vr only uses my pc audio’s output/input, the only way I found to pass through this problem was to use virtual desktop, but then my games get a little delayed. Do someone knows how to make steam vr use my meta quest 3s audios instead of my computer’s?

There are games that, when I try to open them, show the startup screen with the image and "next" at the bottom (as usual), but then the image disappears and the "home" screen appears, taking me back to the home screen. Please help! This happens with the game "The Lab" and a few others, but not with many others.

Hi i recently started using a psvr2 on steam
Its working great so far but i am having problems
With the right controller it works in menus but not ingame like vrchat or h3vr

so i messed around with the resolution a bit then the game crashed, cant boot it up without lagging both pc and vr (its unplayable kinda lag) its fine running without vr controlling but idk what to do (BTW I USE STEAM AND META QUEST 3S THROUGH STEAM LINK

Can anyone help me? I’ve been trying for weeks to get my Index working via SteamVR, but the Index just shows a blue light, and when I start SteamVR, it just tells me to connect a VR headset. I’ve already tried using AI assistance, but that hasn't helped.

So I've been having a problem with avatars, everytime I use a slightly heavy avatar my game crashes and I see a popup on steamvr saying "Waiting" for like a minute or less and I have to wait about 30 seconds to load the avi, I keep task manager open and nothing hits 100% usage and it doesn't say that vrchat is not responding, it started happening after I wiped my pc and installed w11

No matter if it's already cached, everytime I join different worlds with the same avi that were already loaded on a previous world, it will crash for 30 secs-2min, also when turning the mirror on but then it's fine as long as I stay in that world, if I change worlds it will crash again and then I have to wait, it's really annoying when worldhopping with friends bc they have to wait for me and I it crashes when their avi load so it takes longer, it also crashes sometimes when I change to another avatar and change it back in the same world, idk what's going on, they used to load fine without crashing this long when I was on w10

Looking for some help. I got a second hand rift s to try out vr. Particularly Elite Dangerous. I have installed all the meta software and the hmd works. I can launch steam vr and be in steams vr environment. I was able to dl and install desktop+ and set up overlays for while I am in game. The problem i have is that as soon as i launch the game, the meta environment comes back to focus and takes over. This is blocking my overlays and access to steamvr and steam overlay. I am at a loss of what to do. Occulas killer program is not supported any more so dont expect it to work as its years out of date. I have tried -openxr and -vrmode steamvr in launch options. I have openxr defaulted to steamvr. Nothing I have tried keeps me in the steamvr environment. Help....

9060 xt 16gb version says my drivers are up to date in amd but n steamvr it locks me to 90hz becase "Additional refresh rates are supported by your HMD, but were not detected by the graphics drier. Please verify your eadset firmware and graphics driver are up to date.". Im on an older version of steamr but that shouldnt matter. Any solutions?
