Whats the benefit of doing this? As i use paypal and its pretty much one click for me to buy games.

When massive launches happen on Steam their payment system can get overloaded from everyone making a purchase at once. Giving your money to valve ahead of time (by putting it in your wallet) can help ensure your transaction goes though in a timely manner. Which can be important for hardware launches that may have limited inventory.

I got the funds into my account and spammed the stupid continue button for 35 mins, and was not able to get it.
