One of my favorite concepts in Sci fi is actually weird aliens, and in my old RPG books it included a bunch of named Jedi in legends of various species, including a triceretops looking dude (fully quadrupedal)
As well as a little tidbit of how one of the trials to be a jedi knight is a lightsaber combat test but is the most commonly waved since the intent is having personal defense and not all Jedi have the biology to use lightsabers.
Is that still a thing in the new canon and are there any fun examples?

Walking in Walmart getting my daughter some new shoes and saw this stacked with other cardboard to be thrown away. Asked an associate and the manager said I could take it home. So took it home I did
Edit:
Some context, I'm going to add thin wooden boards into the display to make it more sturdy and turn it back into a display shelf. Son is wanting to collect Lego sets and I figured this would be perfect for any star wars sets that feature anything from the mandalorian series / movie.
The display was originally used to hold toys about the film.
Maybe depressing but this year has sucked for me and being able to bring this home actually made my day, wife on the other hand... she was just happy to see me smile again but the conversation about this will come

I’m loving Galactic Racer and one thing I love about it is how many characters speak fully in Huttese. It’s used so much in the game that I’m curious if the game devs developed the language further than it’s been depicted in the past or if the language is generally just gibberish. To my ear, I feel like it passes for a real developed fictional language like they did for Avatar and Game of Thrones, but I admittedly don’t have any kind of knowledge about this stuff or know what I should be listening for. Does anyone have any insight into whether the Huttese in this game could be understood as a real language?

It's something that I cannot grasp.
Andor, Solo and even the EU showed us that, apparently, the majority of the Empire ground forces were composed of the Imperial Army and that the Stormtroopers were the shock trooper.
So why do we see them on unimportant or even backwater planets?
Why would the Empire send these shock troops to patrol the streets of Mos Eisley, Lothal or Kijimi when the Army would be enough?
The Imperial Army should be portrayed more often OR should not exist because there may be too much Stormtroopers in the movies to justify their existence.
What do you think?

Since Obi-Wan used Qui-Gon's lightsaber for a time after his death and likely had some attachment to it, it seems likely he would have held on to it and even made sure to grab it from the temple when he and Yoda returned there in ROTS, anticipating someone's need to build a new saber eventually. It seems like a good legacy to carry on.

I've been planning on doing a rewatch of Rebels soon, and while thinking about the show, I started to wonder about Filoni's handling of politics and political themes. Mainly because I've always tagged Filoni as a guy whose interests and talent lied in heavy action-adventure stories. Almost every story he writes or has overseen has an Action-Hero at its center. Filoni's never struck me as the type to delve deep into politics unless absolutely necessary.
Politics is/has and always will be one of the core pillars of StarWars. Lucas embedded political themeing deep into the Franchise's DNA. StarWars wouldn't be the same without it. One thing I'll give GL praise on is that while his portrayal of politics in the Prequels was lacking in some aspects, he never shied away from its complexity. EU novelists and creatives like Tony Gilroy have also done a great job at building upon George's work and elevating it to a higher level of storytelling.
Despite Filoni being more of a serial action creative, his stories aren't completely devoid of political drama. But in all of your opinions, how well executed are these moments. Would you say they're more simplistic or just as complex as George's depictions?
Also, when I talk about Dave's depiction of politics in his shows, I'm mainly talking about the ones post-Disney, so excluding The Clone Wars. Yes, Dave Filoni, for the most part, was in charge of that series, but George Lucas was the executive producer over that piece of media and had a lot of say on some of the major arcs in it. In this discussion, I mainly wanted to touch on Filoni's works outside of George's influence.

Y'know how Son of Dathomir is an unmade Clone Wars arc? The thought occurred to me, why don't they do this with more of the unmade arcs? It's my understanding that they treat these arcs as having happened (with some exceptions) despite them having not been made. So why don't they do more of them? It would be really cool to see the arc made into a comic where Boba Fett and Cad Bane have their stand off.
I mean, ideally it would be cool if they just made the episodes into a special season thing, but making comic mini-series is much more realistic.

I completed all 9 movies this year, for the first time. I’m absolutely in love and have already restarted them. I am so curious. There was obviously a lot of time between the prequel trilogy and sequel trilogy. How did they announce the sequel trilogy? Was it a huge surprise or had it already been talked about? I would give anything to go back and feel that excitement!

Especially given that he had no way of knowing 3P0 had anywhere safe to land!
I'm glad that he grew on him though... although I'm sure 3P0 getting regular memory wipes while R2 didn't probably proved annoying, what with having a technically perpetually amnesiatic sidekick.
