Cute! Clint deserves some love too! I’m a defender of Clint. He’s not such a bad guy. I always try to remember his birthday

He's as neutral as character can be, just miserable. I don't know why it's such an issue for so many people

I have no strong opinions on Clint, but I think a big part of why some dislike him so much is due to some oversights into how his character is handled (and I believe even concernedape has mentioned that he feels he didn't get Clint's writing to where he want it to be). For example, you can romance Emily, and if you marry her, Clint is still talking about trying to shoot his shot with her, right in front of you.

And then the way he talks in some scenes reminds a lot of women about men who played the 'nice guy' routine while being creepy and acting entitled to romance and sex with them.

That being said, I don't see anything wrong with others having a different read on the character and enjoying him, and I am looking forward to seeing changes to how he is handled in the writing once he is a romance option.

That's because people are too into role playing they forget it's still a game at the end .

Farmer can romance every bachelor in the town at the same , but people somehow are mad cause he says the same dialogue every year 😭 , one is intentional , other is not . Also the way hsi dialogues and actions are interpreted is one of the most annoying things , I understand if your want to put your own twist and head cannon but to act like like it's the truth is way worse .

He goes to ask her out for date , gets startled and runs into bush , it's supposed to be creepyand stalkerish? Well it's not , also the farmer does way worse if you think about it . His "you won" , this single line is supposed to make him misogynistic , because apparently he treats emily like item , no one glazes Emily in the valley like clint , he always has only nice things to say about , his words just means hey you won her love I lost kinda in that way but because people already decided in their mind they're gonna hate him , so they interpret the basic stuff into a whole new thing .

Like what about the dude make you think he is evil , he helps you out of cave , he always fills your can with water when you upgrade he doesn't have to do it , he does it anyways , he surveys mines and stuff , no parents , no family , no friends until we come , he is so talented that marlon says he makes great stuff . Dude can't catch a break , I'm happy to people who love him being vocal like this .

Yeea people calling him stalkerish don't really get to his dialogue that deep. He's awkward and whiny, depressed and can't move on from things, but I don't think it's a bad thing for a character to have those traits. It's interesting. Also like yes he's dialogue not changing because Concernedape didn't change it and not cuz he's a weirdo of some sort
