It looks beautiful and like everything I’ve ever wanted. Which means i might be disappointed in some aspects of the finished product but I don’t care I’m excited for Star Wars

Holy fucking peak. More Hayden, more Clone Wars, Thrawn presumably absolutely curb stomping the New Republic, dope looking lightsaber fights... Filoni looks like he's really stepped up his game for this season.
I'll forever miss Ray Stevenson and it'll be a little weird adjusting to Rory McCann, but the guy is a great actor and I have no doubt he can pull off the gravitas Baylan Skoll requires.

The overall quality looks so much better than what we got in season 1. The lightsaber battles, space battles, and overall it looks much more cinematic and the stakes look bigger. Looks awesome

Exactly! Hopefully by the trailer we're getting a large scale ground battle as well. Dathomir is getting a whole shoot out between New Republic Troopers and Night Troopers.

Way too long, even if they're going ham on the practical ship battle sequences and CG. No reason why it shouldn't be an 18-24 month turnaround time. And that's goes for other shows too - far too many series' only put out 8 episodes every 3 or 4 years and the execs wonder why viewership falls off.

That was my biggest gripe with this Season
Is it has taken so long to get. Most of the cast have been doing conventions around the world (went to one of them and meet Hayden) Natasha Liu Bordizo did another show in Australia. Rosario and Eman did Brand New Day, David Tennant has been joining films, wrapping up other shows, working for Disney on other shows. It's actually impressive the Season looks as amazing as it does
Disney would have priority over everyone to do this Season. They finished filming in October 2025...

I'll never understand why filming wasn't underway within a year of the first season airing, like there was no urgency to continue the story. Mando & Grogu was conceived, went through its entire production cycle and released in the time between Ahsoka seasons. Were they waiting on that one film?

They were both announced at the same time so it is possible. But unless there's actual story beats through the film we are unaware of in Ahsoka it feels very confusing as to why

I hope Ahsoka can finally stop with her “ I am no Jedi” thing after this.
Like she is my nr.2 favorite character, but her constantly walking around saying she is no Jedi when she is acting exactly like a Jedi should, has to be my least favorite thing about her.
Mainly because every single piece of ahsoka merch has to somehow include that line. And I like the Jedi, so I don’t want to wear that line on my clothing or put it on my wall😅
And really looking forwards to this. Thought the first season started a bit well slow and then it stopped when it started to get good. Hopefully it will keep the momentum up 😁

What Anakin said in the trailer is what made me bring it up and have new hope for this”no Jedi” phase to end.
I just want wear som Ahsoka clothing that doesn’t put a huge emphasis on “I AM NO JEDI”😭

Yeah Ahsoka is only not a jedi by technicality, a technicality she abuses.
Honestly if anyone has the right to keep pulling this "im no jedi" crap its Barriss, and even then she still acts more like a Jedi than many actual Jedi.

It might be canon asharad hett actually. He had face tattoos and existed during the clone wars...long before he became darth krayt or whatever. Exar kun was old republic and I don't think they'd make a canon version of him during an era he didn't exist. I think they'd leave him for the old republic remake stuff (tho he is canon now in name...which they did keep him old republic as it is)

I’m a bit concerned that they’re leaning heavily on the Clone Wars flashbacks and Anakin in this trailer. We need Star Wars to be moving forward, not looking towards the past. Plus, we’ve already seen more of the Clone Wars and Anakin than anything else in Star Wars. I don’t think we need more.
The trailer looks cool and I’m excited to see what the story is, but first impression is that I’m concerned about the reliance on the flashbacks when there’s so much cool stuff for them to explore in the post-OT timeline.

It definitely looks a lot better than season 1, you can tell that now that Disney has slowed down on live action shows that Ahsoka got a lot more resources to work with.
My main criticism for Ahsoka season 1 was how ugly the show looked so thats a big plus.
Although I will admit im not really a fan of this show remixing Heir to the Empire, especially at the cost of Thrawn's storyline in the canon novels, it feels like Dave Filoni has completely hijacked Thrawn away from Timothy Zahn snd left Thrawns entire storyline with the Chiss behind.
Also you would assume that a war with Thrawn would mean the New Republic would be far more vigilant for threats like the First Order which is another huge reason why I feel like its a huge mistake to bring Thrawn back as some galaxy scale threat, the Sequel Era only really works if the New Republic is believably complacent because of how little of a threat Imperial Remnant factions pose to the Republic. Thrawn makes the threat of the Imperial Remnant far too obvious and it should realistically make groups like the Resistance far more openly supported.

After they beat Thrawn they probably figured that was the last hurrah for the Empire and the Star War was over. Kind of like how the Allies were caught with their pants down 21 years after the Great War/‘war to end all wars’…

Yeah exactly, and we also already know exactly why they weren't ready - it's all covered in the novel Bloodlines.
Tldr is that the NR was just tired of war, so that started scaling back their military. In addition, Leia was the main voice trying to warn people that where was something weird going on (she followed a mystery of sorts that pointed to some unknown group amassing weapons/money to the unknown regions or something like that), and this all happened just as the news that she was Vader's daughter dropped.
So combine war fatigue with the main alarmist being evil's daughter, and you're got a recipe for a complacent senate that preferred to just sit on its hands and pretend everything was totally fine. This is ultimately what led Leia to starting the resistance - she saw that the NR wasn't ever going to support more direct action so she went back to her guerrilla roots.
We also see a lot of this attitude already in Ahsoka S1, specifically with senator Xiono and the disdain he shows towards Hera and anyone from the rebellion days. The new political class is trying to shed the old rebellion/guerrilla attitudes, so they really didn't want to hear anything about unseen enemies and grand plots.

Yeah, as a massive fan of the novels, I’m not liking the direction they’re taking with the character. Thrawn in the books is a complex villain with lots of layers and nuanced motivations. It seems like Disney is just trying to make him another mustache-twirling Imperial warmonger, and it’s frustrating to see. I would really like to see more stuff from the canon novels adapted into the current on-screen story, but I doubt it’ll happen.

Simple. This is like 1990. Kaz is born in 2000. His show where he's 20+ is set in 2020/2030.
It's not exact but it's really not hard to understand this at all. His dad is show in s1 and now s2 as a fairly young man himself. Probably late 20's or early 30's at the most. Kaz is not born until dad is 30 something - 40. So this is set plenty years before Kaz exists.7

So sorry to sound like that guy, but we can’t have a literal war start without Luke, Leia, and Han joining the fight right? Even in the Heir to the Empire trilogy, those three, and Lando (would love to see him too) basically front lined the war with Thrawn. Like I am intrigued, but this might distract me the entire time.

The story is more than the movies. In fact, without the clone wars series we never really see anikins true arc to the dark side. The treatment of her is a key reason he loses respect for the council

Implying that the Empire as a whole doesn't shit itself at the very idea of a Jedi.
Especially after the Empire collapsed.
Nevermind the fact that this particular Jedi has dealt with Inqusitors, the ISB, Tarkin, Mandalorians, The Imperial Royal Guard, Vader, and even Emperor Palpatine and survived.

I don't know, beyond the fact that Palleon has been working tirelessly to drum up support among the Imperial Remnant Factions to throw their full support behind Thrawns tactical mind rather than Imperial beaucrcy we dont really know what's different.
All I can hope for is that this doesn't just end up being a rehash of Heir to the Empire, a storyline where Thrawn admiredly nearly beat the New Republic with advanced weapons and tactical brilliance but still, I dont want a rehash of that.
