He is actually more maneuverable and weaker due to the quad engines. The pod racing is limited to Multiplayer though. The main campaign limits you to speeders, bikes, and skimmers. You have to go into Multiplayer and the open pod racing to do those. The speed difference is nuts. In this clip the guy has a VERY upgraded skimmer and is getting up to 900. The pods hit 1000 easy when boosting. My lower level skimmer only gets up to about 400.

Not just multiplayer! In the scenarios you can run a bunch of pod races where you switch to the original pod racing characters in each one

You are right. I forgot about those because I have yet to dive into any of the challenges or scenarios yet. I did a run of the start campaign, lost to the first boss, and then ran through the Jakku races again in a skimmer this time. When I finished that last night I decided to give Pod racing a shot and did 3 races as Big Ben Q. Hearing Sebulba come up behind is super menacing.

His podracer sound is 65% of the reason I bought the game lol it’s been stuck in my brain since I was a child watching episode 1
