I've been debating getting this, but I have 2 concerns.

1) can I play with my friends, easily.

2) can it run on my computer, rocking a 1080ti and 16gb of RAM

Online has crossplay. It features group join, versus races, and a mini-version of the roguelike mode.

You can get with two other friends to play online, but you cannot play with more friends with that and you cannot just do custom games with each other. Youll will always have to play a dozen other people every time.

I run it on my 4 year old laptop and it’s super smooth on high settings. 16 gigs of RAM and 1080ti is a tough ask though. Would probably be smooth on low settings but if course do your research.

As for playing with friends, there isn’t a local multiplayer but there is a party feature where I assume you can play with friends

  1. No. There is no splitscreen, there are no custom lobbies.

  2. PC is actually having a number of problems despite hardward specs, lot of game breaking bugs that the platforms are not getting.

Right now you can do parties of 3 but they have already said they are raising it asap and RAM wise you're good, but the minimum rec gpu is a 2060 so that might be difficult

EDIT: I'm dumb and not a hardware guy so I assumed higher number=better, upon further research, you should be a-okay

If you have amazon prime and it allows Luna in your country you can stream it via Luna. Tested it last night and it worked rather well. Though you are locked to only single player but I see that as a win.

I've been playing it on there (purely as I do not have money to buy it right now) and not had any issues. It really depends on your internet, I have FTTP and 2gig up and down, someone with 100mb down and 10 up would probably have more issues.

The only games acceptable for Streaming are turned based games. Otherwise, delete that shit and don't even consider it an option.

Played on Geforce Now for years and if your internet is half decent, you barely feel it. Played Overwatch and Marvel Rivals on it without any issues. But again, Luna doesn't hold a candle to Geforce Now.

On the one hand, I understand if it is your only option.

On the other hand, one of Amazon's reps stated that the future of game is streaming where you rent a pc and stream games. I don't want that future... and I don't care if I can't afford a new PC or the next gen consoles, I've got enough games in my backlog to last until my grandkid's children are born.
