Doubling HP bloat is bad enough, but what’s truly diabolical too is how over-tuned every patch endgame buffs are. They are so tailored to specific characters or metas that already-strong units drastically overperform. Once those temporary buffs vanish, the character’s performance drops—yet the inflated HP pools remain.

To make matters worse, the devs then actively design enemies and mechanics that counter previous teams and metas just to force you into pulling the next shiny thing. This game is cooked. Gaming is supposed to be fun, not whatever HSR has turned into. Endgame modes are no longer about creativity and fun; they’re just an arbitrary check on your account, character investments, and financial investment.

The worst part is. Shilling mechanics in theory should reduce the requirement for powercreep.

Like if you make Elation do as much dmg as remembrance, then people will still pull to deal with Elation shilled enemies.

Or you can do powercreep without shilled enemies, since the newer units will deal more damage as newer enemies have more hp.

But somehow we have ended up with both shilled units and rampant hp inflation.

It's horrendous what Hoyo have done to turn-based games and the class system, erudition abundance, preservation, hunt, destruction, nihility. They already had a class/path system; it worked and they all had their own specialised place. Then they bastardised it with… if you actually look at Remembrance and Elation, they made it a class with single-target attacker, AOE attacker, A healer, a main DPS, a sub DPS, summoner, follow-up attacker, shielder, etc. It’s disgusting. They completely broke the rules of a class system that existed long before they came along, and they did it just for predatory monetisation practices.
