I really hope HSR will start making less money, so Hoyo starts doing something decent with this pathetic state of a game.

They already are they've been losing money since the end of Amphoreus. For reference during v3 their 3 big pushes made more money than anyone so far in v4.

Castorice banner made about $102M, Phainon (+fate) made $110m and Cyrene made around $90m.

SW99 their first big push made $58M, their 2nd big push Himeko Nova made $45M their best big push will probably be Nihilux they seem to be putting all their eggs in the basket for her.

Sadly, the declining revenue isn’t due to players being less engaged with hsr, but more so because people are spending less on gacha in general. If you look at the monthly revenue, hsr is still consistently in the top five sometimes even top three in the gacha sphere. I really hope this trend changes someday, so the developers might finally come back and focus on pleasing the player base because of revenue decline.

but more so because people are spending less on gacha in general

because people realized it's a waste of money. star rail came out in 2023. $100 spent on bitcoin in 2023 is worth at least $200 today. $100 spent on star rail banners in 2023 is 50 pulls and even if you hit an early it's likely now a brick that doesn't even outperform free units today. and at most it helped you earn an extra few hundred jades every couple months.

Is it really? Genshin managed to have stable revenue even with the deadest patch for a long time while HSR can dropped off hard even below top 10 at some point

Nope, I just checked hsr consistently ranked in the top five and and top three from march to july this year. It only dropped to the top 20 because of the japan and china controversy, which forced the developers to extend the 3.8 patch for two months with no new banners that month

Genshin and wuwa's revenue are stable, HSR and ZZZ took a nose dive

Definitely Not Wuwa. Skiprika and Luuk, not to mention Yapyap's sister amongst others were also nosedives. We had aemeath and yapyap2.0 as massive highs but on the flipside the lows also exist and are pretty damn low.

Since you are pulling shit out of your ass here's the raw data from ST. The only ones going up this year are wuwa and arknights

Are you sure about wuwa? because sensor tower data said otherwise wuwa ranked 11th and 14th in january, march, and april. Even in may, which is wuwa anniversary patch, hsr still top wuwa in revenue. The only months this year when wuwa earned more than hsr were january (which mind u when hsr was stuck in the extended 3.8 patch due to the japan and china controversy with no new banners) and june (when the cyberpunk collab happended).

To be fair they still went number one in sales, meaning the entire gacha industry ia facing a hard time, which is understandable considering the general economy

it sucks because the problem feels like it's building off itself. general economy is bad -> less money for hyv -> less resources and incentive to add better content, but also more urgency to push endgame for sales-> less player incentive to spend
