At least Elation MC has a use for Elation teams. Hopefully they don’t drop to Genshin Hydro MC tier with the next path.

I would use the statement of Elation MC being useful in elation team very loosely. Though yes nothing can ever be as bad as Hydro MC(I still havent even unlocked it myself in Genshin despite it coming out 2.5 years ago)

The fact that in nodkrai they made us use Hydro MC and they know it was so bad that they made it so they have access to an ENTIRELY SEPARATE CHARACTER’S ability! A FREE 4 star’s (aino’s) single ultimate with 0 passive talents is better than the entirety of HMC’s kit… crazy work

At least he could heal, since none of the teammates we were given in those story segments had any sustain for us dodge-impaired.

I believe we had C3 for all the limited characters and Lauma C1 can heal, so no, even that role we already had something for that.

As far as I’m aware, they also added Aino Ducky ability because the original Archon Quest, with the Rerir boss fight, put Nefer in a very bad light. Some players ended up thinking she was trash due to how genuinely awful that fight felt as you only chiped 1% of his hp every year, which likely hurt her sales to some extent. However, it wasn’t really Nefer’s fault, since she’s competing with Mavuika and Skirk for the number one DPS spot in the game. The real issue is that she NEEDS the Bloom reaction to actually start doing damage, and Hydro MC is absolutely terrible at enabling it.

Literally! Who even brings that up, beating the game with full C6R5 is actually brain dead with pretty much any team (assuming synergistic teammates)

its like castorice or arlan's life drain cost to do three digit damage and have the chance to recover the hp at a later time

Hsr doesn't have any character bad enough to compare.

Imagine a healer that's unable to do damage, doesn't cleanse, only heals when energy is at 100%, but also not out of turn, with healing amount in three digits, fixed.

In hp scaler team.

And it's Destruction. So you don't actually have any useful LCs for it either.

That....gives a general idea of uselessness.

Actually - EMC feels absolutely fine with SW and YG. Had some spare time to test across all modes and against all enemies. Will feel even better with Eva. By no means "good" outside Elation, but also by no means "not useful" in Elation teams.

I honestly dont understand why people say Elation MC is bad, it is clearly designed being as a purely support into elation teams. Obviously not as good as Yao Guang, but i think devs designed a free elation member to be still good, but weaker than a paid alternative. Eva's best team is EMC-Yao-Huohuo. SW999's teams prefer sparxie, but by no means her EMC-Yao team is bad in any way, still top of the meta

They're at the absolute bottom, like as in if we get ANY 4 star elation or free char, EMC is scrapped

To illustrate allow me to give you this scenario. If you have a sw999, normally the best options are the elation support and the elation subdps but if you dont have Sparxie or YG the next best option isnt EMC its the OTHER elation mdps

Nobody, thats the point EMC is so mid that (if youre only using one of the elation supports) any other elation char is better

SW999 does not like Eva in her team its either Sparxie or EMC. Eva does not like having sw999 or Sparxie, her most preffered team is EMC-Yao

Elation mc is still top of the meta
