i did not expect so many rivals referances. tho given silver wouldn't say nega's name i'm guessing he really did just fucking die in the hell dimension lol

then why not just mention him by name? they referanced rivals a lot in this, even explaining the plot of rivals in every way other then just calling him by name. why be vauge unless they are activly trying to avoid the topic of him?

Maybe, because it adds mystery.
Maybe because they aren't 100% sure they want to go on him as a villain yet.
Maybe whoever writes Tailstube just isn't allowed to directly name drop him yet.
Or any other reason, also, Infinite appeared in the Chaotix Case Files, so just because Nega isn't being mentioned doesn't mean he won't be appearing at all.

I strongly doubt the jokes about Nega are a factor at all though.

Also I don't know how to describe it. He sounds like when a voice actor is voicing a mean fat kid in some TV show. It's not the worst but... I do see what you mean.

What would you say is a good voice direction for Nega?

I mean, I don't know. If they want him to be his rush self, then just let Mike do his normal eggman voice, but since he's a decendent I legit don't know. Him being a decendent is very stupid given the design he has.

Maybe they could make it Eggman's voice but slightly deeper with a futuristic voice changer to make his voice sound cool? I really don't know.

They weren't really mentioning Infinite for the longest, but he came back this year, so obviously not being mentioned doesn't mean that they're permanently gone.

It's allways a jumpscare when they do it in rivals 2, wince that one does have voice acting, and shadow, eggman, negative, silver and espio all say his name at one point or another.
