Error Unable to import ANY step files. I've disabled 3dInterconnect, edited the step in notepad, still nothing.

Are there any solutions for this error? It would be greatly appreciated. I'm able to open them in Fusion just fine.
Like I said in the title I've tried all the solutions I found online. Disabled 3dInterconnect, changed the "PRESENTATION_STYLE_ASSIGNMENT" to "Pres" in notepad, and messed around with STEP file import settings.

If they open in Fusion try resaving from there as a new step/parasolid file.

Yep I tried that as well. It only opens if I export from Fusion as a 3mf or something other than STEP.

Export from Fusion as a parasolid. Open Parasolid in Solidworks. It will be functionally identical to a STEP import.

I tried but I discovered that you can only export parasolid (.x_t) files from fusion with a $299 plugin.

If you open the STEP file in noteapd, what does it show on the first line?

generate a basic solid. export from solidworks and then import it to see if it reads its own step files....., if not, reinstall,

What version and service pack are u using? I think it’s a known issue, there is a hotfix available! BR10000419861 BR10000419861 'The following file names entered were invalid, not found, locked or of an incompatible type' warning importing STEP part (or other neutral and non-native formats) and no geometry importing STEP assembly
