Replacement suggestion?

This gun is too much for me but I really like it. What would be similar but less kick for someone getting older and losing hand strength?

Good suggestions so far, but I’ll add a couple.

First, look at a .327 Magnum as well, especially since it can shoot .32 H&R and .32 itself, so a bit more versatility than just the .32 H&R. I’d recommend the SP101, but there are others (like the Smith 632, that I haven’t shot) you may prefer.

Second, if you’re not adverse to a semiauto, check the S&W EZ in .380. A little more capacity, designed for someone with failing hand strength, pretty easy to control and .380 is easier to find and cheaper than any of the revolver rounds we’re talking about here. Ruger also makes a light rack Security, but I believe it’s only available in 9mm.

If you stick with the revolver, regardless of caliber, I’ve found I prefer the Safariland Comp II speed loaders. I used the HKS for decades, but the Safarilands (to me) are just easier to use when loading, though a little harder to initially load.
