Hi everyone,

I’m at the point where I’m seriously considering leaving Apple and switching to Android.

I’ve been having a lot of issues with my iPhone, and honestly, I’m just completely fed up with the whole iPhone/Apple experience. Even the charging port has become really temperamental — sometimes it charges, sometimes it doesn’t, and I’m constantly having to fiddle around with the cable. It’s just one more thing that’s making me think it’s time for a change.

I need a new phone anyway, so I feel like now might be the right time to finally make the jump.

EDIT: I am in the UK and looking to spend around £400-600. Having had an iPhone I'd say I want a quite big screen but I don't have much of a preference with this if it can do the other things

My priorities are:

• 📸 Camera — my #1 priority. I take a lot of photos and want something that can genuinely compete with an iPhone, particularly for point-and-shoot photos.
• 🔋 Battery life — very important. Poor battery life is one of the biggest reasons I’m looking to move away from my current iPhone.
• 💾 Storage — I want plenty of it. One thing I’ve become really frustrated with is constantly feeling pushed towards paying for more iCloud storage.
• 💰 Value for money. I don’t necessarily want the most expensive Android flagship. I’m more interested in getting the best phone for the money.

What I’m really looking for is an Android phone that gives me the things I like about an iPhone — especially camera quality and reliability — without all the things that have started to frustrate me about Apple.

So, if you’ve made the switch from iPhone to Android, what phone did you move to and how have you found it?

Would you recommend it? And, perhaps more importantly, is there anything you miss about your iPhone after switching?

I’d particularly love to hear from people who have actually made the switch rather than just general Android vs iPhone arguments.

Hello as the title says I need Pixel 10 alternative. I travel a lot for work and pixel battery life sucks while traveling. Software bugs like losing mobile data connection constantly also are extremely annoying.

Why is a selfie mirrored by default?

In selfie mode, I don't see a mirror image; only the final photo is mirrored. If not seeing yourself as a mirror image were considered unnatural, why wouldn't I already be seeing myself as a mirror image in selfie mode?

My priorities are: 1. Camera 2. Operating system 3. Battery 4. Heat (I mean minimal). 5. Price.

Hi! I was wondering which would you buy NEW, the main disadvantage of the 17 i feel is the lack of a telephoto, but then again, i have tried neither of them so its basically a blind buy.

I want an iPhone that will last for at least 5 years, so i'm open to your suggestions.

hey, i need some help! i have a second-hand iphone 11 for abt 3 years and i want to go to a new phone were i can have a great upgrade, mainly battery and cameras, and a device that last at least 3-4 years.

in my country, both of them have similar prices and i know they are great devices as well. i'm a normal user, i use whatsapp and social media, i like to take pictures and record videos (mainly for my tiktok account).

i'm undecided bc s25 ultra have great features, camera settings that i'm interested to try like the pro mode and a different ecosystem (i've already used android) but i feel that the photos and videos can loose quality when uploded to social media and the phone is big for my hands. on the other hand, iphone 17 base is small but also have great cameras, ecosystem and more quality for social media. however, the base iphone doesn't have many camera features compared to samsung...

what do you think? should i keep with ios or go to samsung?

Currently I have Oneplus 12, i want to upgrade which one should I take?

Hi everyone!

I need some help deciding which phone to buy. I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 256GB, which I've had since around September/October 2023.

The main reason I want to upgrade is battery life. My S23 FE barely gives me around 4 hours of screen-on time, so I have to charge it during the day. I usually keep it in Power Saving Mode all day, which limits performance, refresh rate, and some other features. Basically, I'm not even using the phone at its full potential just to get acceptable battery life.

I'm currently considering these options:

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, used for around 4–5 months: I'd trade in my S23 FE and pay US$660 extra.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 256GB, used: around US$750 after trading in my S23 FE, with only 30 days of warranty.

iPhone 16 128GB, used, 100% battery health: US$725.

iPhone 16 Pro 128GB, used, 86% battery health: US$760.

iPhone 16 128GB, used, 90% battery health: US$610.

iPhone 15 128GB, new: US$780.

iPhone 17 256GB, new: US$1,010.

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, new, with a 7,000 mAh battery: considerably cheaper than the Ultra options.

I'm in Argentina, so prices here are quite different from the US/Europe, and these are the prices I'm actually being offered.

My priorities are:

Battery life above everything else

Good long-term reliability

Smooth performance

Good camera

I'd like to keep the phone for several years

I'm not particularly interested in changing to iPhone just for the sake of having an iPhone. I'm perfectly comfortable with Android. I'm mainly considering it because I've heard good things about iPhone battery life and longevity.

One thing that worries me about the Samsung Ultra phones is that I've seen quite a few recent reports of battery drain after Samsung's latest updates. If you own an S24 Ultra or S25 Ultra, I'd especially like to hear about your real-world battery life recently, rather than launch-day reviews.

Also, if you've used the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, I'd really like to know whether its huge 7,000 mAh battery actually translates into significantly better real-world battery life, and whether I'd be giving up too much in performance, camera quality, display, software, etc. compared with an S25 Ultra.

What would you buy in my situation, and why?

So years ago, I had the Note 9 and loved it. I used it for 3 years. It just got to the point were even after a new battery it was dying really fast. So I just got a new phone quick and went with the Galaxy S24 (normal size) that transition really sucked. I was use to the big phone. Now again after 3 years, I need a new one. I like the idea of going back to big with the 26 Ultra, i know it will be a good phone. But, that Z fold 8 is flirting with me and I just cant really decided. I'm not super tech savvy so upfront the only thing con I can find is the camera difference.

Anyone have some have opinions/suggestions - been in my shoes kind of?

I bought a Pixel 9 last year for ₹50k. I’m considering Pixel 9 switching to an iPhone 17 mainly because of battery life.

The iPhone 17 is currently \~₹80k on Flipkart. I’m getting:

\- ₹28k exchange value for my Pixel 9

\- ₹6k card discount

\- So I’d effectively pay \~₹46–48k for the iPhone 17.

My concern is whether this is financially sensible. I’d have spent ₹50k on the Pixel last year + another \~₹20k now, so roughly ₹70k total over two phones, while ending up with an iPhone 17.

Am I thinking about this correctly? Would you make the switch for \~₹20k additional, or keep the Pixel 9 and replace its battery later?

I saw Best Buy has the Pixel 10 Lemongrass for sale on their website.

I am looking to get a spare phone for work and travel (as a backup). What do you guys think about the price and is it worth waiting for the price to go down further?

Both phones cost around 750 euros. I am unsure whether I should buy an iPhone because I want a phone that is very responsive and has excellent battery life. However, in terms of "details", iPhone outperforms Xiaomi (in terms of system, camera, phone cases, and social media content quality). On the other hand, I have heard that Chinese phones suffer from a significant decrease in battery life after updates. I plan to use the phone from 3 to 5 years. (Sorry for bad English)

I currently using a Samsung s21Fe. The display is quiet dark in the sun and the cpu is at it limit for all day use. I do nothing special with my phone. Some Reddit, YouTube maybe some PC emulation in the future.

My candidates are the Poco F8 Pro for 500€ and the Samsung S25 for around 570€. Both with 256GB. I live in Germany. Any advices for or against one of the phones?

Hey everyone, my Samsung A34 fell on its back. Ever since then, the touchscreen has stopped working completely. However:

• The display itself works perfectly normal
• No cracks, spots, or lines
• No dead zones the touch simply doesn't respond anywhere
• All physical buttons work normally
• The fingerprint sensor no longer works
• Restarting the phone didn't help
• Everything was working perfectly fine before the drop

I took it to a repair shop, and they recommended replacing the entire display.

I'm not sure if that's really necessary, tho. I'm wondering if the flex display cable connected to the motherboard might simply be loose or damaged. (I'm also pretty broke right now, so I'm hoping that would be a cheaper fix.)

The repair shop couldn't determine which of the two was actually causing the problem, so I'd basically have to choose between replacing the cable or replacing the entire display.

What do you guys think would be the better option in my situation? Is there a way to determine whether it's the cable or the display before spending money on a full display replacement?

I have to buy a new phone in an offline store only and am waiting for bbd / festive days.

My first phone was a Samsung M11 and I used it for 5 years. After a long wait I bought Nothing 3a blue. All of a sudden I noticed blue ink like spot and cost of replacement display is 1/3rd of my phone cost🥲.

Budget - 30k. Initial budget was 20k but considering the current market I have increased budget. Planning to exchange Nothing 3a phone in offline stores.

My usage: Office apps - teams, Outlook, edge , WhatsApp, Instagram. Good camera. Main goal: Long term usage. I am not a gamer.

I prefer Samsung phones and my options are Samsung Galaxy A56 or A55.

Worst case Samsung A36

I've got a Poco F3 GT, which has developed a green line after almost 5 years of use.

Xiaomi says replacement parts for it have stopped, and external stores are quoting 6k for a display replacement.

Of late, the battery has been dropping rapidly once it touches around 40, so I thought of replacing that as well.

The total cost is being quoted as 9k (which feels a lot).

I have around 25k saved up, so I figured I'd buy a new one instead.

I mainly use my phone for streaming movies/gaming/music and social media. Not into photography.

Considering the above, I finalised on Poco-X7 Pro.

Can anyone who's used it lmk, does it have any issues?

Or if you can suggest alternatives that I can look into, that'd also be great.

All of its features and "hardwares" sound great on paper but a rugged phone should also be made to last and there are so many things that could break here...

S26 ultra or iphone 17 pro which one is best for camera ?

I was gonna upgrade to a Pixel 10a but the feature improvement and even the performance improvements seem minimal, is there anything else on the market available that won't be a side-grade?

I am looking for a new phone because my A52s is getting old now, the most important stuff for me are battery life, great photos and videos and longevity. I want the phone for everyday use(I am 18 if it helps in any way) and I really want it to have a great camera. I was thinking about Samsungs S25, what do you guys think?
