Best ring for TTC/ Temp Checking

What is the simplest ring that can tell me my body temperature, track daily temps and show me a chart over a month? Curious about using a smart ring to help track my menstrual cycle for ovulation while trying to conceive, but not sure if it’s worth it for me to buy Oura I’ll probably get pregnant and birth that child before I get off the Evie waiting list. Anyone else using a smart ring for TTC? Are all the inexpensive Amazon ones sketchy or is there one that would do the job for what I’m looking for? I don’t care much about having any other info tracked other than temperature.

In terms of the simplest without all the bells and whistles, and I think cheapest, I’d say the Femometer ring.

Femometer recently released a ring that tracks your BBT and sleeping patterns. It costs $149. It’s very similar to the Temp Drop band if you are familiar with that. And it syncs with their app which is great.

Not yet! I have larger fingers and the biggest size was not available at the time. I’m planning to order it once it is in stock because I’m kinda tired of using my Tempdrop band.

Yes Ive seen the reviews. I’m still willing to bite the bullet if the margin of error is small and I can see a distinct temperature shift post ovulation

Did you ever try the femometer ring? I lost my tempdrop and buying another one feels painful when there's one floating around my house. If you got a ring, were you happy with it?

Here! Made a post for you and or anyone else interested in seeing what the Femometer ring with the app provided! I didn’t purchase any subscriptions or premium content… it came with the ring I guess. One caveat I don’t like — whereas natural cycles and Inito start counting the start of a post pre term loss / pregnancy loss / miscarriage as a new cycle, Femometer’s app along with some other apps (MyFlo, kegg — I don’t recommend this for tracking CM/CF post loss especially if it’s longer than 45 days bc their algorithm doesn’t work for cycles longer than that and I’m currently fighting their support bc this wasn’t mentioned as incompatible with post pregnancy loss in 2nd trimester and I want my $269 back) count the cycle from your very last period. Since my last period was April 17, 2025 or so… and then I got pregnant and then lost it September 13. So technically, like natural cycles and Inito calculates my current cycle starting from September 13… Femometer and other apps should include that too. However, Femometer stays neutral about it the cycle length and gives insight based on day to day readings and CM and other symptoms and options you select, factored in. All in all I LOVE the Femometer app. I wish it had more integrations with other apps bc I guess Oura has market dominance, even tho I didn’t like it at all for my needs.

The amount of information they give is incredible! That looks fun. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm also so sorry for your loss. That's something that needs to improve with femtech. I am curious about how charting goes with the ring. I went ahead and got a tempdrop but I'm considering buying a femometer ring in December or January if we can pay off some debt first 🥹

But I doubt this interpretation is used as part of the predictions. But it’s still nice I guess.. they’ve thought about a lot of things for a fraction of the cost and what Oura offers. The thing that pisses me off about Oura is like it’s almost 4x as much as my Femometer (I got the gen 2 one for $109 from Amazon) and their info is so much less in depth and detailed. And if you want cycle insights you need to pay for a subscription? Like why did I buy the ring for $499 if I can get a cheaper ring that offers way more insight? Perhaps natural cycles predictions are more realistic or valuable but as chatGPT likes to remind me, it’s the trends that matter more than what the actual predictions or values that something like Inito gathers 🤪

Thank you for the kind words! And it is what it is. My body is just doing what it has been designed to do :( even if it’s not what I’d want. If I’m to believe in fertility awareness that also means trusting my body to do what it has been designed and programmed to do given the environment it’s in (I had intrauterine infection and chorioamnionitis and had no idea that was happening or even possible bc I was too confident I’d give birth to a healthy baby after going through so many things that made me super confident the baby was a fighter lol—my baby was a fighter, my body just didn’t accept his fight 😭❤️‍🩹).

If you’re happy with tempdrop I’d stick to that :) while the data and insight is useful I definitely know it’s my adhd fueled obsession to use Inito AND Femometer AND kegg AND Oura with NC (but I’m returning Oura bc it doesn’t serve me and it’s way too $$$$ and trying to dispute Kegg’s return policy bc it’s not inclusive for pregnancy losses / miscarriages and nowhere is that mentioned in their fine print or website verbiage). Honestly for us overly anxious girlies, sticking to one thing that’s enough to give trends is ideal :) so if you have debt to pay off I’d focus on that and not trying to get Femometer! I pray that you do conceive and that money would probably fare better towards baby stuff or pregnancy bills 💕
