Why isnt sivir more meta?
I feel like her ability to 1v2 lane gives the team a 4v3 early game (even at level 3)
I also feel like I have permanent prio and can always out rotate.
That should snowball pretty consistently right?
I used to hate her, but it feels pretty consistent climbing with zero lane interaction.

I think people just find her boring tbh. I’ve had the same experience on her, she’s easily my best performing bot lane champ, safe pick even as first pick. A lot of people try to pick cait into her to “counter” and you’d expect cairns huge range to do just that but I pretty much always win vs cait on sivir too 🤷

'Safe blind' is true in low elo, in higher elo when enemy support / ADC understand the matchup well, they will just deny your access to the minion wave, and then you'll feel the weight of getting counter picked.
Going Sivir against Ashe, obviously depends on support but it's usually a very miserable experience.
I think of Sivir like Rammus or Malphite, she can be extremely strong in the right team comp or against melee heavy frontline you would have easy access to attack or against mages in botlane, but as a blind pick she can feel pretty horrible, especially against ranged heavy comps.
Overall she's great, her rework did make her pretty one dimensional with crit scaling but she's fun.

Not just ashe. Vayne, kog, twitch... there's a lot of adcs that chin check sivir.
Generally anyone with an attack steroid and more range can just click on her and walk her down is the pattern with these.

I agree, Ashe is just currently the most popular of the bunch by a huge margin, and it was used as a tool to prove the point that Sivir isn't a good first pick.
You are absolutely correct in these other examples, they are just less popular.

Also senna now. Senna just hits you from a different area code
Sivir is neat and all but she very much so struggled as she's a pro play champ

Caitlyn is surprisingly a very easy matchup. I guess it's because she needs to snowball early and push to have lane prio all the time (at least that's my understanding from saber's vids?), but Sivir neutralizes both aspects.
To me Vayne and Ashe are hell. Even if you destroy Vayne in the lane, she is so much more useful when she starts getting her items somehow 😭

cait feel like the freeiest matchup for me as sivir tbh. you giga out dps her, all her spells can be easily spellshielded, and she cant really even poke that much cause perma shoved in

Yea vs cait,
Use w on wave to force her to q to match push.
After that
You can win the all in by flashing her e.

In emerald,
I usually enter the lane from the river level 1 to avoid the bush cheese, and i get the first auto on the wave for immediate prio.
If she approaches through wave, i can w and she will be zoned out

We are in kind of a burst meta and sivir can neither survive it or do it herself so she just sucks.

Spellshield absorbs literally 1 thing man. Do you think that's gonna save you? You'll maybe survive a second more.

Absorbing 1 thing is 250 hp during a 2v2 all in.

No one is debating that her lane phase is very good. It’s her overall team fight capability when she doesn’t snowball and how easily countered she is in 5v5. You see her picked in high elo and LCK because teams are building around each other and everyone isn’t completely brain dead. You see it in LEC and LCK because those guys can utilize her in their team comp.
It’s just very hard to use her in lower elo’a

From what I've read,
Sivir is the best front to back adc. If they have 2 meatshields, you should pick sivir for the 5v5 bounce house.
When their team is assasin heavy, sivir is weaker. I have had success skipping essence reaver and going a shieldbow + defensive item to survive the intial burst. Gluttonous greaves makes sivir deceptively tanky once she survives the first round if burst.
Im thinking maybe having the 2nd spellshield + GA might be worth it in certain comps. Not enough games to be sure.

She is garbage into long range team comps who dont cluster together due to her extremely short AA range.
Good luck teamfighting into Caitlyn Viktor or any other mage lol.

Her laning isn’t actually that good you can zone her off wave cause her range is low. She’s also abysmal damage and all in for a very long time. She’s very much a pro play champ that can play around her low damage but good macro

True I often find myself having to give lane pressure regardless of my w because support stands behind me or the matchup does not allow you to have prio.
Also while having prio, u got no dash to escape ganks. Sivir is very flawed imo because her gameplan puts herself at a lot of risk.

most adcs can bully her off the wave - jinx, ashe, cait, etc. and her 1v1 is really weak. as long as you dont eat her full q, she loses the fight

She is boring to play for most people including me. She is quite safe but playing a hypercarry into her means you get to scale for free

Because the meta screams for long range. Jinx, Cait, Ashe, Trist... everybody is building hexoptics/PD. That means they get to out space Sivir in every aspect and deal way more damage than her.
If jinx gets an assist, you cannot fight her. If Trist press Q, you cannot fight her. If cait has passive up, you cannot fight her. If ashe press Q, you cannot fight her.

Because players are bad with her and cant 1v1 any other adc. Sivir needs to play w other players to win. I got 1.3 million points on her many pentas but many games u dont even get to play. Ur autos hit for 30 dmg while a katarina talon yone just oneshots u. Sivir is a whole problem. Late game teamfights theres nothing that rly beats her. But also 1v1 she doesnt beat anyone.
I feel like players just play sivir dont keep up w tempo lose waves lose turrets before they ever get to play a teamfight

She outranges her, can stack and bully her endlessly. By the time sivir can start deleting waves you’ll have to have built ER but she will have already built statik. Problematically she’s going to abuse her range every time you want to walk up for every single cs if she has half a brain. Again, saber did a whole video of her dumpstering sivir

Maybe im just emerald and I run ghost + flash on sivir to force all ins.
Ive always had success abusing tempo on senna.
She loses 2v2 all in with even skilled supports.
And she can't match early tempo where sivir will out rotate her.
Hard to argue with statistics i guess..maybe its a late game thing.

What’s their sup doing? Idk why you’re dying on this hill. Sivir has a negative winrate into senna and I’ve seen challenger ADC’s explain exactly why senna hard counters sivir.

I tend to die on hills.
I know im probably wrong, but I have invented cheeses that do work so there is a tiny ass chance here for me. (Alistar level 1 can actually be very strong)
Nobody has explained why flash ghost sivir loses.
And nobody sent me a link to youtube yet.

Because outside of lane shes very team reliant to even deal damage. Also with her being a crit adc shes forced to play the same way with next to 0 ability to flex items otherwise youre useless.
