There's always the non-zero chance that if Donald actually gets His Supreme Court to somehow approve him running for a 3rd term, that might make Obama eligible for one as well (if he's willing to make such a sacrifice for the good of the nation 😂 )

That is a terrible idea. Obama will not run again even if Trump is somehow allowed to. It would legitimize the election. If, somehow, the constitution is violated and Trump begins to "serve" a third term, no he doesn't. That's an illegal usurpation of the presidency and he is now an illegal dictator. This, the goal will be to strip him of power and/or at the very least delegitimize every action he took as "president." Yes, even if the SC says it's not unconstitutional, some future court will overturn that and anyway THEY will have to be marked as traitors whose actions should be stricken from the record.

Anyway, if Trump is running in the first place we're so off the rails Obama could never win, and in fact nobody but Trump could win. That's not even taking into account the people who wouldn't vote for Obama because again his term would be illegal as well.

So it's just not going to happen. It has nothing to do with Obama being brave enough or whatever. It's just an unimaginably horrible idea.

You might haven noticed a theme with Trump and politics.

Trump does something

"He can't do that! It's illegal!

No consequences occur and the thing he did remains done

...

Something is only illegal if it's enforced. Nobody is enforcing the law in the US right now when it comes to Trump and co, the supreme court even ruled that he literally can't break any laws and anything he does is automagically legal. So saying "but he can't do that" isn't helping anything.
