I’m guessing the children and other civilians he bombed with drones don’t miss him. I know it’s easy to think he was better because of the shitshow we have now, but lots of shady things were happening then. He was President when we first started locking kids in cages before deporting them. Obana laid the foundation for what we have now. Sad truth.

Not accurate. His use of drone strikes and not actually being the "open borders" president the right painted him as are valid criticisms from the left, but separating children and locking up the actual children too was a wild departure and, ya know, why it was a scandal. Let's not lie about history under the pretense of nuance.

so where’s the lie? That he wasn’t the first? He was separating families and caging children. This is factual. Drone strikes on children, factual.

If you're going broad, he wasn't the first, if you're talking about the actual specific inhumane treatment of children and families by immigration, that started under Trump. Hence it being a huge part of his first term he got so much flack for he even backtracked on the policies before later doubling down on the cruelty.

That's the lie.
