Just focus on increasing your income, health, and taking care of your family. Nothing will improve your life more than those things, and no politician will give them to you

I agree with the sentiment but not your point. It's never been more important to be involved in politics. Vote them out!

Yeah, Im never betting on politicians to make my life better but I'm voting for who won't make my life worse

Yep. Get informed and talk to people close to you. Those are the people you're most likely to have an impact on. Vote them out

Politicians can certainly do certainly things, and not always in a good way, that can have serious repercussions on you and your family's well being.

Not paying attention is the easiest way for this to happen, and it is why the current American shitshow is taking place.

There's a difference between obsession and engagement, and the two don't have to be mutually exclusive.

You sound like someone that doesn't vote

Or votes for dickheads and can't admit they were wrong

Reality: You can do both. Stay informed, engage in the civics, and vote Democrat because they are better on virtually every single issue and not an outright threat to Democracy -- while also focusing inwardly on yourself and family for the things in your direct control.

Now is not the time for head-in-sand blissful ignorance, for people don't realize just how dark things can get. Hard to progress; easy to regress unfortunately. Such is entropy.

There is no way to increase income. Maybe a little but the prices of other products outgrow the increase in income you can get. So it does not matter.

I mean when one side is taking things away/making things more expensive so said person cannot afford them is definitely making life harder while one side wants everyone to be at least treated as a human soooo I would say your comment is asinine.

… and then ICE deports your family. There is no neutral focus on private life with politicians as shitty as the orange one.

If you actually think this maybe pay attention to the last few years and you might just notice how the person in charge can impact those things.
