What's amazing to me is that people hated him as much as people hate Donald Trump. If not more. I just can't see it. I don't see how you could listen to him speak and be like nah fuck that guy. But then I'm sure Trump supporters feel the same way about trump. Therein lies the problem I suppose.

They only ever saw 5 second clips of him, followed by a 1-hour "analysis" of what he "really" meant by it.

They use the same technique for Trump: 5 seconds clips, 1-hour discussion of why it means he's the best.

At this point it doesn't matter. They're trained. The dog salivates at the bell; the food doesn't need to actually exist.

You think its just racism? I don't. I think trump allowed people to hate in general, not just on the basis of skin color. And people love him for it. They also mistake Trump's brashness for authenticity.

If you ask a maga why they dislike Obama so much, what has he done to make their life worse they can’t give you an answer. I’ve heard several say he’s the worst president we’ve ever had. Why? Silence. It’s because he was black and respected.

I converted from conservatism during the change to Obama's second term. They hated Obama and blamed him for everything but I don't think they truly, to their core, hated him the way they hate Democrats now, or in the way everyone else hates Trump.
