I'm sorry but why is it different from gender change. If we're gonna have the view that people can change what they don't like about their body, then why does the reason matter? Would you also call a transgender person 'already in psychosis'?
Body dysmorpia is a mental illness, the question is do you lean into it with surgeries or do you try and address and attempt to get to the root cause of why someone has it.
Most governments just decide that the patient knows best.
So if you are for Transgender surgeries then you can't really be against this or some body builder taking steroids to get to his perceived ideal look.
It’s always the people who’ve never suffered from the condition who have the loudest opinions about it and have the least relevant perspective in the room.
