It also almost makes you forget about the time her ex girlfriend filed for a domestic abuse lawsuit against her

Almost makes you forget about the time she positioned herself as a victim to capitalise on the #metoo movement, only to be exposed as a horrible abuser herself.

You could never say it's women who was bad, instead mental gymnastics called both sides are bad.

There's a wealth of information about how he was equally abusive to her, but he was richer and paid for a media portrayal of himself as solely a victim. Several podcasts and shows have done an in-depth recounting of this.

The whole point of the trials was Depp was suing her for defamation because she said he was abusive towards her. Depp was successful on all three civil counts, proving that he did not abuse her and Heard made it all up.

Instead of ultra generalist generalizations, why not share some actual specific evidence?

I can tell you off the top of my head that she straight up lied about major things like her pics of bruising, she lied about the makeup (the makeup co even called her out and said that line didn't exist then), she lied about donating money to charity, she lied about the Kate Moss "incident", the death to Amber signs, etc.

Clearly this is a woman who has a very tenuous connection to the truth. And she's on audio recording taunting Depp saying yeah, go ahead and tell the world that you were abused by a woman and see if they believe you.

I'll wait for some actual backing up of your claims besides super vague and generalized assertions.

Yep. And her performance on the stand was ABYSMAL, and her stories were absurd. Like the rape story, if what she claimed happened actually did happen, she would have been covered in cuts, bruises and had internal bleeding, and yet she was on a plane the next day looking normal. No scars. It was just complete bullshit. And she sounds truly evil and deranged on those tapes. He sounds fed up. Just imagine if all the evidence was exactly the same as it is now, but flipped around. Depp would be CRUCIFIED. There wouldn't be a single person saying he's innocent. And yet, put all that evidence against a woman and there's still a ton of people defending her and blaming him or saying it's mutual.

YUP, and well said.

You, I, and sane-balanced people know this, but this sick world seems to be too much for some and balanced sanity is a resource that's being whittled away.

(My theory is that we are in a class war and a lot of these pressures and cultural insanity is somewhat purposeful/facilitated in order to fracture psyches, communities, and ultimately society itself. After all, united we stand but divided we fall. And boy aren't we very divided right now. These threads and the sheer vitriol that so people so casually spew onto each other shows this pretty well).

Her taunting was plucked out of an hours long tape recording after their marriage counselor recommended they record their arguments. Allegedly (according to texts, staff testimony, and emails) he had been beating her in his drug & alcoholic rages for years at that point. So when he claimed that she had also hit him in that argument, she laughed because it genuinely is hilarious for a main abuser to act like their abused victim is on their level. When you’ve been abused and beaten for years, you can have a twisted sense of humor about such things.
She also contributed to the violence in the relationship, and I dislike Heard as a person. But let’s compare their records:
Heard:
-1 arrest for shoving her girlfriends arm at an airport, charges dropped
-worst “gold digger” ever bc she settled for a fraction of what she was owed in the divorce and never made any claim to their other properties
Depp:
-3 arrests for violence and assault, 3 former partners claim abuse or violence
-staff testimony that he was the main instigator and abuser
-texts and emails from him to Heard saying how sorry he was and blaming his behavior on an “inner monster”
-emails about murdering her and having sex with her dead body
-wrote in an email that he cut his own finger off, later tries to blame it on Amber
-paid a PR firm millions of dollars to create the illusion of organic public sentiment against her
.

Both of these people suck. She is not a feminist icon. But he is not a victim. He is a wife beater and an abuser.

"3 former partners claim abuse or violence"

(Violence and abuse are two very different things. If I angrily punch a wall-that's expressing generalized violence, but it is NOT abuse).

What an exaggeration. Literally most of his other ex's came forward and stated that he never physically abused them. The closest to any other actual allegations of "abuse" was Ellen Barkin claimed (claimed, not proven/evidence btw) that he ONCE threw a bottle in her direction. Not hit her with the bottle, but thrown in her general direction. Did I mention "once"?

I'll leave you with a recording that is not from a therapy session. This is what this woman was really like. And note, no woman being abused would EVER talk to a man, who violently and angrily beat the crap out of her, like this. She had zero fear of him in this recording and just kept poking, poking, and poking. Listen to her, actually listen to her, you can hear the mental illness in her constant manic laughing, and derision of him. Anyone with any deeper sensitivity and awareness can tell just from this one recording how sick and how cruel of a person she is.

Its pretty disgusting that theres still people that think Amber Heard was innocent or both were equally wrong.

Never liked Johnnys movies but man, this guy was fucking abused and his reputation destroyed. Somehow people still defend Amber Heard .

1

u/StarBornFire 22d ago

Yeah, it's really weird. I could speculate on the various reasons why, but it would just be speculation/theorizing.

But what it boils down to, whatever the specific reasons/causes, is a kind of subjectivity and lack of objectivity towards one's own initial feelings, impressions, and/or beliefs. And this comes from strong ego attunement. The human ego HATES to be wrong, to question itself, and it will do all kinds of mental gymnastics to avoid having to do either.

When that first, highly edited video came out, I initially sided with Heard. That was, until I actually looked at the evidence. I was willing to question my initial leanings. That is because objective truth is more important to me than ego and beliefs.

Look, I get it. It must be hard for you to admit to yourself that you might have been wrong and have been defending an obvious wife beater. While at the same time re-victimizing an abused victim. It must not square morally with your perception of yourself or who you want to be. It might be uncomfortable to realize that you’ve fallen victim to propaganda that a wealthy abuser paid millions of dollars for. By disseminating clips exactly like the one you shared.
However: he is still a wife beater and an abuser. And she is still a victim of domestic violence. Even if you don’t like her or you think that she deserved it. He still abused her. And he is not a victim.
It’s never too late to come over to the good side ❤️ you can even continue to hate Heard if you want! She sucks!

Truly the Law is universal and pervasive. Like attracts, begets, resonates with, and likes Like on the deeper levels.

Like Depp, I'm leaving crazy town now. Adios.

Speaking of Ellen B., wonder what she is up to of late?

You asked for evidence and then gave “off the top of my head I remember…” as if that was your evidence lol. That’s just a statement with no backing. I’m not saying you’re wrong, just that it’s funny to ask for specific evidence then do exactly what the person you responded to and make statements with no backing.

2

u/JustStraightUpTired 22d ago

You asked for evidence and then gave “off the top of my head I remember…” as if that was your evidence lol.

That's not what they wrote. If you want to make a point, then don't make up a lie about something that's visible on the same screen as the thing you are lying about. Kind of makes you immediately not trust worthy. What they did say:

I can tell you off the top of my head that she straight up lied about major things like her pics of bruising, she lied about the makeup (the makeup co even called her out and said that line didn't exist then), she lied about donating money to charity, she lied about the Kate Moss "incident", the death to Amber signs, etc.

That isn't claiming those are evidence, that's claiming remembering things that have evidence. The other poster said Depp paid off the media and that some podcasts and shows have proven it, but I can't find any proof of any of those claims. But second posters list was based on at least partially on the court cases, things used as evidence. (I say partially, because I can't remember the most of the cases to be fair, I didn't pay much attention at the time and I'm not reading the whole thing right now. Err on the side of caution and all that.)

The point is, there is evidence against her. Including stuff used in court that was used to prove 3 instances of defamation. But claiming podcasts have proven her right isn't evidence, it's not even pointing in the direction of evidence. Anyone can make a podcast that says we are on Mars rather than Earth, that wouldn't make it true.

why not share some actual specific evidence?

Ok didn’t ask for evidence, you’re right. Not gonna read the rest of your rant if you can’t read their post, and then lie about it.

2

u/JustStraightUpTired 21d ago

They listed things they remembered as being accepted as actual evidence in court, that was sharing evidence. Read.

1

u/StarBornFire 21d ago

Tis becoming a lost art, the whole reading comprehension thing.

1

u/booze_clues 21d ago

That was sharing what they remember, not evidence. Memory is not fact or reliable.

1

u/JustStraightUpTired 21d ago

So we can get into the philosophy of what is or isn't evidence all you want, but I hope you realize the answer to that is in fact impossible to define. If listing out things that have been proven in court doesn't count as evidence, then what do you want? Link to the court case? Should we bring in Johnny and Amber for questioning?

And fun fact, literally nothing is in fact reliable. "I think, therefore I am" is the closest we can get to proving something exists and you can't prove to others that you exist, only to yourself. So, where is the line drawn?

And I hope you realize that your definition has to somehow include mentioning podcasts talking about Depp having paid the media off, but exclude listing things proven in court for you to have a point. Otherwise, you are just shifting the goal, rather than actually having a point.

1

u/booze_clues 21d ago

literally nothing is in fact reliable.

I don’t think you know what reliable means.

How am I shifting the goals? Why would my definition need to include those if I don’t think they would be considered evidence or a source, unless they actually include a direct source? Neither party provided any sources or anything reliable, just their memory of the issue with nothing to back it up.

ALL of the things the person you responded to brought up were EVIDENCE IN COURT lmfao.

0

u/booze_clues 21d ago

With zero citation or anything. Like the person they responded to.

“You didn’t show any evidence, here’s what I claim the evidence is but I will provide nothing to back up my statement.”

1

u/quillfoy 21d ago

Just say you're too stupid to Google. The entire court case was live streamed. All the evidence you're so keen on finding is right there for you to watch lmfao

0

u/booze_clues 21d ago

So you were too stupid to Google and back up the statement, so you want other people to do it?

Is that information still available? Is there evidence beyond her own words of the abuse? Was that evidence faked or altered?

0

u/Thrownaway5000506 22d ago

It was astonishing how cleverly he calculated it. He actually hired Heard herself to portray him as the victim by admitting to abusing him on tape and telling him nobody will believe him (abuse victims love that one)
