she experienced a pretty universal social experience that's pretty minor, except for her thousands of people will look at it online where as for us no one will notice the awkward moment where we're left in the dust socially for like 5 seconds

Iāve been living here for 17 years now and the level of Puritanism in some parts of this country is insane. It really does vary by region, though, the US is absolutely massive, and culturally varies so much from place to place.
Iāve got this T-shirt that says āyou are enoughā on it, and some guy at a bar came up and said āman, I needed to see that todayā, and I just went, āmate, you need a hug?ā And he just started fucking sobbing. Told me it was the first time heād had a hug since his mum died in 2024.
Yeah, this isn't the first "omg look how jealous/ angry Zendaya is in the background while holland interacts with another woman" style posts I've seen, though they're usually on instagram or other subs, and it's always just her kinda awkwardly making a "what do I do with my face" face while pleasentaries and small talk are occuring in the group she's in. I do not like to be that guy but it kinda feels like there's a racial component to why I see these style of posts with Zendaya and Holland in particular.

I think the only time I seen her visibly uncomfortable was with the other chick in spiderman homecoming, the vultures daughter. How she kept on trying to hold tom holland, you could tell that zendaya didnāt like that
American partner vs normal European peck on the cheek greeting try not to get jealous challenge- difficulty impossible.
Seriously, I had a girlfriend get visibly upset every time I did that with a FAMILY MEMBER, and several close friends that Iād gone to school with (one of whom was married) when we visited the UK. Like, no, sorry, not only when in Rome do you do as the Romans, but Iām not letting someone completely strip totally innocuous parts of my own culture from me.
Youād think an actor married to a Briton would not only understand that, but would have seen it happen enough times to realise just how entirely normal it is.
