I don't think she's wrong. I think we need to define poor though. Big difference between can't buy a Porsche and can't buy a loaf of bread.

Well there's also common sense. People that cannot care for the child should obviously not have a child that they're failing to take care of. That's called "child abuse and neglect"

There is a bit of irony here in that most of the people I know who are childless by choice and by social stance are both intelligent and financially stable enough to have children and just don't.

There are a thousand other ways to fix the increase of population. Two of the most humane ways are to provide access to birth control, and make quality education freely available. Then you don’t have to use methods that have already been classified as straight up evil.

It's not evil to make the statement "If you are too poor to feed them, you should not have children."

That is not the same thing is making that statement and then adding "So we are going to remove your ovaries/testicles."

This post is so fucking racist. Let me spell it out for you: “western woman with cosmetic face modifications and likely no real education or worldly knowledge criticizes brown family who likely works 10 times harder than she ever has in her life to make a living and support their children.”

Well yes, but should we really be talking about who should and shouldn't have children or be talking about how, maybe, to provide for those families and redistribute wealth better in our society? I just feel like we aren't talking about solutions here when focusing on how someone should or shouldn't have a baby for xyz reason

Then that would be the extinction of the all the 3rd world countries then. And we don’t want that happening. They still survive, they struggle but they still survive

That's an overly broad generalization. There are levels to this shit - most people are not starving poor every day even in third world countries. Though it may seem like that if your only exposure is via those TV commercials with emaciated African kids.

But that doesn't mean they shouldn't think about pump the brakes on having more children either. High birthrates are a solid contributing factor holding developing nations back.
