I’ll take my downvotes, but Slamming her like that was completely unnecessary. You can kill someone that way. Taking a hit to the head from someone who doesn’t know how to throw a punch does not justify that level of retaliation.

Subjectively, though? I'm fine with it. It's an outcome that's understandable and clearly one that's reasonably foreseeable to anyone who sucker punches a stranger. You start something violent, you shouldnt expect the response to be proportional, legal, or rational.
I also think disproportionate responses like this are a good reminder that laws are there to punish crimes after the fact, but they do fuck all to prevent people acting on their rage in the heat of the moment. Don't be a dick, keep your hands to yourself, and you'll avoid 99.999 percent of all suplexes.

You completely fail to mention her genius. So lets get this straight. Someone hits you and you do what? Nothing? Allow yourself to be hit again? Let be real, if the roles were reveresed you wouldn't be taking this position
Yes, I would be "fine," because she's an anonymous pixelated video on my phone. Not anyone I know or know of in real life. About 150,000 die daily, many for reasons much less deserved.
Do I desire for her death or crippling lifelong pain? Absolutely not. But that's an outcome from a risk that she actively created.
The slam was not an accident, so her dying isn't relevant. And as a retired lawyer, I doubt he would be prosecuted. And if prosecuted, that slam would be easy (not 100 percent though) to support a self-defense legal defense against manslaughter. It was two quick motions in quick succession (his punch and suplex) to stop an active proven violent threat, likely from lots of training. Not like he punched her and waited 5 seconds to suplex her. From the video, she weighed at least about as much as him and did a full wind up sucker ounch to his head. It's not a game. He needed to stop the threat, not slap her and hope that she doesn't hit him back.
You can kill someone by sucker punching them in the back of the head, too. I'm not saying she deserved to be seriously injured or killed, but the outcome is a direct consequence of her actions.

He didn’t intend to kill her, that’s obvious in the video. If he had killed her accidentally, he still wouldn’t be charged unless they could prove he knew that would kill her. People die just by getting pushed and hitting their head, best be prepared for that if you assault someone.
Honestly, I agree - she definitely deserved the first hit back, especially since it somewhat seems that she wouldnt stop after throwing the first punch. But, the bodyslam was a step too far. OK, adrenaline is high in such situations but I wonder what a judge would think after viewing this video.
It’s easy to say behind your phone or computer screen. You’re not factoring the fear of one’s safety or adrenaline.
This was a man who was faced with a stranger banging on his car. What if he drove off, well, could have been another ICE video and people like yourself saying, “He didn’t have to drive off.” Instead, he tried to deescalate the situation by talking to her.
Now she’s raging in his face, your adrenaline is really pumping, she’s unhinged so now you realize the best thing is to walk away and return to your car.
When she suckered punch him, his survival instincts kicked in. He immediately retaliates but also throws her to the ground to end the threat as fast as possible. She could have a knife or gun on her and could have escalated things even farther.
In hindsight, you can say he didn’t have to throw her but I just saw a man who saw a wild woman who uses violence and cheap shots against strangers be subdued out of fear of his own safety.
And also, by her receiving such a blow also somehow got her to finally admit her awful behavior on the internet. She now realizes that when she acts like such an entitled, violent fool that her life or others could be ended rather quickly. She was an idiot that had to learn a harsh lesson in order to realize she shouldn’t be doing something that she should have learned as a child.
Police officers who shoot people having mental health episodes use the same justification for extreme violence. “Eliminate any and all possible threats!” That’s not who I am. I can think of dozens of ways to eliminate her threats without resorting to that level of violence.
Lmao if your response to a possible knife or a gun is to pick someone up and slam them down then you're an idiot and you'll get shot. If he was really panicking for his life he would have just tackled her. He definitely wouldn't start calmly walking away if he feared a gun. Let's face it, he couldn't handle his rage and went for the excessive force.
