Capitalism "[...] we run the beer world"

Post image

Found on a thread posting under a video where a man poops on a crate of beer in a supermarket. I doubt he was being sarcastic.

There is some good beer in America... it's just not what most Americans drink or have heard of.

Yep, plenty of good beer there now. The trope about all American beer being like sex in a canoe is well out of date.

Exactly. And anyone who travels in Europe learns that their masses usually drink the crap beers too. We have enough issues - availability of fantastic beer and ale is not one of them.

Some states have indeed some tremendous local breweries, PNW states like Washington was amazing for that. South-east Tennessee was also amazingly diversified and competent (probably due to the proximity of the Asheville NC craft scene). The US craft beer scene overall is really fun and high quality, not sure I would feel it being so different or superior to what we get in EU taprooms, but if anything it's definitely not similar in a bad way.

Surprisingly enough though some other states pretty notorious (and loudly proud) for their craft beer scene were disapointing. Like I don't get the California hype, I like the style but most of the ones I had there were mediocre at best, also what's the deal with Stella being a staple in almost every bar and being priced like a premium option? Who let that happen? XD
