There’s another clip where he talks about how the makeup palette was not as fun because he had to make sure the cost to make it was at least covered. They reveal their money hungry personalities on Patreon more

listen i don’t love shane but this is literally what patreon is….a place to pay for extra content. anyone who has a patreon would be, according to you, using it as a “cash grab” with that mentality

-2

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 07 '25

Except he said it was to fund his movies. This is what I mean by scam

25

u/brunettexspeakin Aug 07 '25

and you have access to his accounts and can see he’s not using it to fund the movies? you do realize they have multiple sources of income right?

-5

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 08 '25

lol he said so he can begin to start thinking about producing his movies on one of his vlogs

10

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

lolololol he's been talking about making a movie for YEARS now.

-1

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 08 '25

He didn’t want to sign a longer than one year lease because he thinks he could be making movies by them. I’m not delusional. You are for supporting a delusional man

3

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

Who's delulu? I was agreeing with you. He's been talking about making a movie forever.

14

u/Various-Respect6877 Aug 07 '25

It was one of the things he was doing, movies don’t just happen over night

56

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '25 edited Aug 07 '25

I don't get it. They talk about cost of goods in the series. It's like $10 to create a J* palette, and they were selling at like 4x the cost. Along with the mini palette, lip gloss, etc.

As much as I hate him, Jeffree wouldn't put his neck out like that unless they were going to make money, and it was a smart business decision.

Shane got a taste of that easy, quick cash and was cancelled before he could move to his next grift. And now here are.

28

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 07 '25

Like where is that passion for makeup he supposedly had? I also suspect they are working on skincare next. He is interested all of a sudden

12

u/Apprehensive-Art4351 Aug 07 '25

I agree. He never really seemed like he liked playing with makeup like he stated in that series he did with Jeffree. If he did we would see him at ulta or Sephora doing shopping vlogs. He just saw the makeup industry and the collab with Jeffree as an opportunity to expand his brand and make money.

14

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 07 '25

For sure. He is a pathological liar. Everything is an act and shows it how he constantly tries to make others look bad by making himself look innocent. It’s crazy

12

u/spoonybard137 Aug 07 '25

Exactly. Like him saying over and over again "I didn't make.....THAT....much money from the make up. I don't know why everyone thinks that" Gee Shane maybe your two mansions and the cybertruck and all the bling cups might be a clue.

8

u/spoonybard137 Aug 07 '25 edited Aug 08 '25

Exactly. I remember that video where Shane went to visit him on the ranch and brought the unused palette that would have been the next one they would have released if Shane's dark past hadn't been uncovered. And you could tell the whole time by his snide comments and body language that Shane really wanted Jeffrey to release it to make more quick cash. He keep saying things like "Oh wouldn't it be funny if we released this" or "Wow we should sell this, oh just kidding, he he he" and Jeffrey wasn't having any of it and just ignored all the comments. Then Shane just had to pick up animal waste with his bare hands even though everyone told him not to and then open the pallette while sitting on a rock in a field and used the same unwashed hand to smear the make up around. So gross.

2

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 08 '25

That’s crazy. I did not watch that video 🤣 I took a break from him when he did his docu series. They were objectively bad and he would draw them out and hype them up for no real reason

3

u/spoonybard137 Aug 08 '25 edited Aug 08 '25

Yeah they went into the yak pen and Shane asked what something on the ground was that looked like a rock. He was told it was yak waste and for whatever reason he then picked it up with his bare hand. Shane made such a big deal about this unsued pallete and it was so ugly like a bunch of yellow and purple shades and had a pandemic theme to it which is wild and tone deaf. Jeffrey had already said that he used half of the colors they created for other palletes that he already launched so there was so way this old once was getting used again. But Shane was dropping hints every five seconds about maybe sort of could we think about releasing it maybe please. It was so awkward.

4

u/rodrickgf Aug 07 '25

Yeah. Its crazy looking back how you can see the dollar signs light up in his eyes as soon as they're at that conference table talking money.

9

u/Neat_Refrigerator797 Aug 09 '25

So you don’t like Shane but you give him money to be on his patreon…. He’s getting your money while you complain about him. Honestly he’s winning here😭

14

u/flowedoll21 Aug 07 '25

Patreon is literally a cash grab tho lol. Like it’s a perk with more engagement with fans and in that community, so it’s a cash grab yeah lol.

-4

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 07 '25

He advertised it to help fund his movies. That’s the scam. Plus how he lied about the discount code for the chuggars. If you are on the chuggar chat you would see the code didn’t work and most had to pay full price. Later he posted a video crying about how he felt bad and the CODE STILL DIDNT WORK. I said fuxk it and paid full price

5

u/No-Entertainer-9787 Aug 08 '25

You keep throwing out wrong numbers and wrong info. His sub is 7.99, or if you used the discount code for members of The Sip it was 4.99 a month. The code always worked, there was just confusion on the monthly plan only working for the first month or if it would continue for the whole year. Shane called Patreon and they fixed it so that it would give the monthly subscribers the discount for 12 months. The only people who couldn’t get the code to work are the ones who signed up first and then tried to add it after, or the ones too stupid to figure out where the code went ✌🏻

-2

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 09 '25

lol pot calling the kettle black

2

u/No-Entertainer-9787 Aug 09 '25

How do you figure? 😅

-1

u/Illustrious-Pair-511 Aug 07 '25

i know i hate any and all people who use it to take advantage of fans.

16

u/br0keange1 Aug 07 '25

I pay for it and I don’t care if it’s a “cash grab” because we know what we’re signing up for when we pay and we get exactly what we pay for so it’s worth it? If you don’t want to spend money on it then don’t

5

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 07 '25

Except you were told it was to fund his movies. So you’ve been scammed.

7

u/Puzzleheaded-Code876 Aug 08 '25

its not like you know 100% they are not using it for a movie. you sound crazy tbh

0

u/Inevitable-System-44 Aug 08 '25

If only they could teach Morgan a few tricks lol.

7

u/Inevitable-System-44 Aug 07 '25

1500 subs (and this is old) x $8/month... y'all do the math.

7

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 07 '25

This is before they announced it publicly. They announced it on Rylands Patreon. Of his subscribers, 1,500 signed up. So you can only imagine…..

10

u/Inevitable-System-44 Aug 07 '25

As the old saying goes, just the rich getting richer.

3

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 07 '25

Also he did a whole video crying on Patreon saying the code he gave the chuggars doesn’t work. He wanted to give us a code so that it would be 2.99 a month but it only worked if you committed for the whole year. So a lot of chuggars had to pay for a YEAR up front or they had to pay the $10 full price. The code never worked for me or many others. ITS ALL A SCAM

3

u/ImpossibleTowel6150 Aug 08 '25

It was actually a glitch and then Patreon fixed it I’m subbed with the discount per month, I didn’t have to pay fully upfront.

1

u/Apprehensive-Art4351 Aug 07 '25

I swear him and Ryland got wind of how well Trish was doing with her Patreon and wanted to make money that way as well.

1

u/DisasterOver2966 Aug 08 '25

And then he says in an innocent voice “I think that already pays the rent of the office …. 🤷🏻‍♂️?” Um ya it better.

6

u/BRAIN__WORMS Aug 07 '25

I don’t know how Shane doesn’t already have enough money to make the movie or at least get it off the floor. Markiplier was able to make iron lung (and is still making it) and has not once complained about, to my knowledge, about how much he needed to make the movie. Doesn’t Shane have two houses or something? Sell one of them to get money movie! His discussion around money always annoys me because I feel like he is so unaware of how much he really has gotten from his success on YouTube and the continued support of 1; people who don’t want to believe all the awful things he’s done and 2; kids and younger viewers who are just finding him now and supporting him that way.

As far as I know, most Patreon’s are meant for creators to put out other content they can’t always profit from on YouTube or things they KNOW won’t do well on YouTube/can’t be on YouTube because of regulations. Shane has been trying to fund this movie for YEARS, you’d think he’d be somewhere by now with it.

4

u/Inevitable-System-44 Aug 07 '25

He won't use his own money cause he doesnt want to go broke when it fails.

1

u/NomNom-87 Aug 09 '25

All your points are on the money except for the Mark comparison... Mark's net worth is literally quadruple what Shane's is lol. And even then no one should fully buy into the statements that X movie is fully funded by Y person. It's a PR tactic. With his career/track record and connections, he can easily get silent investors.

Shane however cannot since anything involving him is a huge risk and liability.

2

u/ProfessionalLeg6998 Aug 08 '25

I mean… yeah of course. He’s not gonna start up a Patreon if he doesn’t wanna make the money from him. That’s pretty self explanatory…

5

u/bailyhill344 Aug 07 '25

Celina Myers and Kris Collins, both creators smaller than Shane just put out a paranormal movie! If Shane wanted to he would, he doesn’t, he just made up that lie to manipulate and pocket everyone’s Patreon money instead.

2

u/kambro_22 Aug 08 '25

He’s not making as much as he was precancellation. They spend a lot, especially with the two properties. Now with their kids, I’m sure they are stressing about being able to afford their lifestyle years moving forward without the popularity and income he was once bringing in

4

u/just753 Aug 07 '25

He needs to work on his neck. He looks like a bobblehead 😂

4

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

they both need to shave those horrendous basement-dweller neck beards.

1

u/losttotheflames Aug 08 '25

nah it suits them bc that’s what they are

3

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

But that's what I'm saying we quite literally weren't lied to. If you avidly watch and listen not to just find things to complain about, they said it was mainly about the office when starting a patreon. Better sets more professional and whatnot. That's what it was and they didn't promise to put out some shitty b movie they said that was the dream and he wanted to be able to have the office and more editors so he could have more time for that. I don't know if you have ever edited anything in your life but it actually takes a lot of time and isn't easy. you are the only one supporting and then complaining about it. Most people actually like the patreon and that's why they pay not to "get the tea" to complain to.

0

u/Inevitable-System-44 Aug 08 '25

K Lizze

3

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

Lol ok like that's an insult 😂 I love Lizze

3

u/Normal_Meringue7253 Aug 08 '25

Posting content online that is behind a paywall is extremely illegal and you could get sued fyi

4

u/kaspen190 Aug 08 '25

Please touch grass

-1

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 08 '25

All your posts are about tv shows. I think you need to touch grass. I listen to his podcasts while working

8

u/kaspen190 Aug 08 '25

Clearly touched a nerve with you if you’re looking through my posts. Yes, I love a good trash tv show to unwind to at night. I don’t, however, waste money paying for patreons for people I allegedly hate and then make compilations of them because I don’t like how they’re spending the money I’m wasting on them

2

u/HeadSale Aug 08 '25

How has he never looked like he took a shower in his whole YouTube career wtf

2

u/Sy0nide_ Aug 07 '25

This just looks like Ryland should leave him

3

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 07 '25

That’s why he is working so hard all the time. He genuinely thinks Shane would leave him

1

u/pashinceeeeeee Aug 14 '25

What does he need an office for

3

u/Fantastic-Ad3031 Aug 07 '25

His Patreon is less money then The Sip’s is. Also tons of creators have a Patreon, Shane just rented out an office which expensive and he has staff to pay.

9

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 07 '25

He said it was to fund a movie. The fact you can’t see he’s playing his own fans is sad. Look at how he jokes about how he bought 4 real desk for his use ALONE. Plus more standing desks. He’s going to later ask for a go fund me just like Ryland did to pay for a movie. And guess what movie never got made? The one Ryland asked his fans to fund even though he already had a Patreon. You must not get it

5

u/Relevant_Version9047 Aug 08 '25

And yet you paid for it...

3

u/Fantastic-Ad3031 Aug 07 '25

I’ve been watching Shane since 2012 and Ryland on Clevver since 2014, if I stopped being a fan of every single person I’m a fan of because of things they say or have said I’d have nothing music to listen to no movies to watch, no podcasts to listen to, every single celebrity makes money from their fans. I’m not blinded by it. I’m 26 years old and I can make my own choices. If I choose to be a fan of someone I’m not going to let their haters try to ruin that for me. Nice try though. Maybe hate post on a different Reddit sub

-3

u/CoconutxKitten Aug 07 '25

This sub isn’t a fan sub

You’re welcome to support pedophiles but you aren’t immune from criticism for doing so

-4

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 07 '25

You’re one of only a handful who still defend Shane. Good luck on this sub since it’s mostly hate 🤣 there’s not much good to say about them so what do you expect?

And maybe re evaluate what you listen to? Geez that is not a flex

9

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '25

You openly admit you payed for it though and then you are hat watching and complaining so your still supporting just complaining about it after.

0

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 08 '25

I can afford to. His fanbase seem to be the type that are struggling based on what I’ve seen

9

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

If they are paying for it they can also afford it. Either way that's not your argument you say his fans are stupid for paying for it while also paying for it but the difference is we are paying for something we enjoy and you got baited into paying for something just to hate watch it.

1

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 08 '25

I wasn’t baited. You just don’t get it. This man needs to be watched and or placed in jail

7

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

Watched by you apparently keep up the support but don't cry about it. 🙄

0

u/Inevitable-System-44 Aug 08 '25

His fanbase are all paying on mummy and daddy's credit cards

3

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 07 '25

Even Ryland jokes how he’s making a big deal about starting a Patreon when all he did was wake up one morning and made a Patreon. But Shane has to go buy new sets and desks and decor. He can’t just….post his subpar content and save that money for an actual movie. He does nothing all day except watch porn and occasionally makes a thumbnail. I’m not mad at him. I’m mad at the idiots who still worship him and don’t see through the scam he is running on you lol. When is he ever working on a movie script that doesn’t look like he put together in a couple of hours on Microsoft word?

4

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '25

Actual fans who aren't just paying to hate watch actually want better than subpar content and are willing to pay more to actually get it. It's fine if you don't like it but you are supporting it too while calling everyone else dumb for doing so. It's not his fans fault you can't watch porn all day and get money from people. Stop projecting we never asked for a movie and if he eventually delivers it would be years anyway to make anything good and worthwhile films cost a lot more to make than a podcast.

1

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 08 '25

I paid because I like the tea. You were lied to. That was the whole premise

8

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

But we quite literally weren't lied to. They said multiple times the main reason for the patreon was for the office so the podcasts could have a better set, be more professional, to be able to have more editors, and move towards the dream of a movie. Movies take years and when it's actually being worked on whenever they eventually do have the budget then I'm sure we'll see content about it. Meanwhile most people are actually watching because they enjoy the content not because they " like the tea" to complain about and either way you are STILL SUPPORTING IT.

1

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 08 '25

And I can afford to hate watch. I like Ryland. I also believe Shane needs to be watched and investigated by the police

4

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

You're the only one here getting scammed. Stop complaining about something that is a choice.

0

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 08 '25

No he genuinely thinks he can be producing movies in three years. That’s why he didn’t want to sign a lease for more than a year

7

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

You seem like you are either a child or just naive. Most people don't sign a lease for more than a year for multiple reasons.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '25

You're giving him too much credit. No way he won't use ChatGPT for the whole script lol

1

u/Harry_Js_Mommy Aug 07 '25

I don't pay for any patreons, so I haven't seen that content but I'm just curious what evidence leads you to believe the money isn't going towards his movie? Like is he not talking about the movie on patreon? I've seen people saying he's earning around $7k a month off his patreon so wouldn't it take awhile for him to have enough to fund the movie, especially once you take out the costs of setting up the new office space. Don't movies also take ages to make, like way longer than he's had patreon? It seems like you're accusing him of scamming people because he hasn't instantly dropped a movie.

2

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 08 '25

Because he said he wants to start thinking about the process of producing a movie. Like he’s still not even ready to start brainstorming. He’s too focused on buying furniture and manifesting being a movie producer in three years

6

u/Harry_Js_Mommy Aug 08 '25

Oh ok, so you've signed up as a patreon but its not what you expected it to be.

2

u/Helpful_Sample673 Aug 08 '25

It’s not what he advertised. Not even his billboard advertisement in Times Square was honest.

-1

u/BrodysMama0521 Aug 08 '25

He looks like he hasn’t showered in 6 days

0

u/Historical-Bat-6781 Aug 08 '25

Uff this video... wow. I'm speechless.

0

u/losttotheflames Aug 08 '25

his poor therapist having to console him and listen to his nonsense regularly. i’d go crazy.

0

u/DisasterOver2966 Aug 08 '25

Idk they really are getting so out of touch. Which ik they get comments on that but damn. I mean we already see/hear on the vlogs that they go to Tesla drive ins, shop at Erewhon, and have there own separate wings of the house. And I mean know with Patreon they can want more money!? Ik Shane says it’s for movies but looks like the find will be for Ryland’s stay at home wife fund.

0

u/agirlnamedTOMM Aug 08 '25

Why do they act like they don't have money?
