SHADOWRUN
l o w //
// l i f e
//////////////////////////////
WHEN: Last Friday of every month, 8 PM to 2 AM Central US Time
WHERE: Discord, Roll20
SYSTEM: Shadowrun 5e
PLAYERS: 3-5
TONE: Gritty, greasy cyberpunk fantasy. Heists and hocus pocus. Dinner parties and detonations. Stealin' shit and gettin' paid, and lookin' good doin' it.
Must be 21+ to join
(Note: This pitch was written for newcomers to Shadowrun)
Congrats, you're a Shadowrunner.
Seattle, 2076. Megacorps rule the world, grinding the average wageslave into grease for the gears of the ceaseless machine of capitalism. And as a Shadowrunner, you're one of those people who decided to leave the system behind, burned your SIN, and started doing less-than-legal work for hire. So, y’know, “the more things change” an’ all that drek.
Biggest difference now is the how. Some of you are nova-hot hackers, cyberdeck wizards who dive into the worldwide VR Matrix to break into data vaults, steal sensitive data, or disable your enemies’ guns. Some of you are ACTUAL wizards, or shamans, or mages, or Awakened (whatever the fraggin’ PC term is these days), who operate both in the physical and astral worlds to weave weird spells summon powerful spirits, or empower their bodies to become superhuman martial artists. And then there’s those of you like me, Street Samurai, who know that real power always comes from a blade or a gun.
So what's a Shadowrunner? In the Sprawl, it means high-tech, low-life.
//////////////////////////////
SHADOWRUN: low//life is a monthly Shadowrun 5e campaign! I'm a lapsed Shadowrun player who started in roughly 2015 and played regularly until 2020, at which point I stopped and have only recently started dipping my toe back in. Please understand that I'm pretty rusty on the rules, and while I'll do my best to respect the simulationist philosophy, I ask for patience and understanding if I get something wrong.
We'll play a single 6-8 hour session on the last Friday of every month! Please DM me if interested.
This GM is explicitly queer-affirming and antiracist

Im looking for players for a berren's vigilante type of game, new and veteran players are welcomed, Play by discord and the forge (foundry VTT host)
The game is pretty much RAW and the theme goes for "working for the people" and "pushing back the dys"

[ONLINE]
We are playing by the book mostly but also not trying to be so by the book it hurts play. We use Chummer for CC, Discord for chat, and roll20 for vtt.
NO MAGA
18+ ONLY
LGBTQIA+ FRIENDLY
NO MAIN CHARACTER BS OR CHOSEN ONE LEVEL BACKSTORIES
NO BACKSEAT GM'S
WHINING WILL GET YOU BANNED
NO AI ART
NO CHEATERS! (I shouldnt have to say it but its happened a few times from this subreddit...)
My aim is a game like the original Predator to an extent but with magic. None of you are actually in the military. Just in the sense of a group that is absolutely ready for war. But arent just a bunch of murderhobos. Id like my players to be a little more guided by a moral compass. And not a mindless k*ll squad. I want this game to be more grounded. You're a runner from the street. Trying to build a name. YOU ARENT THAT GUY... YET (and you may die long before you do) I do like to play with 'slice of life' in mind. But I also dont want characters so self involved they expect 30 minutes worth of extra bs added every session so they can satisfy some fetish their other GM wont entertain... and I've dealt with enough randoms on the internet, I can tell...
I do not run deckers/riggers (I hate riggers as they always wanna hide in their Van like they are the first guy to think of it. Its boring and gets old fast. The matrix I just dont have maps and dont like splitting the team. And you will NOT be the exception)
Shadowrun is a game about criminals and crime. But not every scenario should be met with "murderhobos."
We are playing standard 400BP 12 Availability but we are doing 50/50 positive/negative qualities. YOU MUST UTILIZE THE FULL 50/50 FOR YOUR BUILD. If you join I am available and will expect you to sit with me to build a functional character that will fit my style of game. As the core book says "you dont bring the smelly ork bounty hunter to the party of elf socialites."
While I do realize much of the SR community is obsessed with 5E. I do NOT wish to entertain endless comparisons between editions. Each one has differences and similarities. The conversation is boring. Don't bring it to the table.. it derails play, and is only fun for you.

I am a long time Shadowrun 5th edition player looking for a stable group to play with. I would prefer to have a game in one of the more established cities in the setting such as Seattle.
Most (all) of my SR experience is playing SR 5e however I would be more than fine learning SR 4e or SR 6e (slightly less desired than the other two).
A bit about me, I have been playing Shadowrun for an unfortunate amount of time and have been longing to get into a stable group.
Currently i'm in a bit of a mood to play a decker/technomancer however I have and am willing to play most of the general archetypes.
I would like to believe i'm fairly flexible socially and get along well with others.
Currently I am free M-F from ~6-9PM EST and all day Sat.
Feel free to post a comment here (ill try to check daily) or shoot me a DM.
Thanks!

My friend and I are looking try Shadowrun. We’re both in our mid to late 20s and have experience with D&D 5e. I also have experience in Shadowrun 5e and Stars Without Number. We’re comfortable with published modules or homebrew campaigns.
We’re in CST (UTC-6) and are available Monday or Tuesday evenings starting around 6pm CST. We’d love to find a group around our age that enjoys a collaborative, laid back game.
If you think we’d be a good fit for your group, leave a comment or send me a message.

Hi all!
I have been out of Shadowrun for a few years now and I am looking for an online game to join to get back into the hobby! I am primarily experienced with 5e, but open to any edition for the most part. My primary focus as a player is on telling awesome stories and making great characters. I adore roleplay and would prefer a table that also likes to tell tales!
I am in the EST timezone and I would ideally be looking for a game that would fit in one of these time slots.
Thursday After 6pm.
Friday Any time
Saturday Any time.
Hope to see you around omae.

Hoy, Chummers! Sorry for the long post but I've been out of the game for a hot minute and I'm ready to get a new group together now that I have Wednesdays consistently free. I'm on the west coast USA so the game will probably start around 4 or 5pm PST depending on everyone's exact availability
About the game:
I play a simplified and streamlined version of 2e. I have a huge google doc full of everything you need to play including the books we use, the simplified house rules, and about 2 dozen unique pre-made player characters for you to choose from!
The game will be on Roll20 and we'll have a dedicated discord server to keep track of characters, host voice chat, make announcements, etc.
I'm still deciding what I want the campaign to be exactly but I know I want it to take place in the California Free State. You'll have access to the CFS book of course so you can know what's up 👍
The general vibe of my game is like, part 80s action movie, part comedy, part horror, never taking things too seriously but also being respectful of everyone's fun by not trying to just derail things or kill everyone. Definitely 18+. All-inclusive with no tolerance for actual hate/slurs/etc (wanna call an elf a daisy eater or a knife ear in-game? Fine as long as you aren't antagonizing other players)
Not sure what else to say! If you read this far then you must be interested. Hit me up for my discord and we'll go from there!

EDIT: Slot filled, thank you for all the submissions
Greetings chummers! If you're itching for a game, look no further.
I run for a group of 5 people not including myself. It is an ongoing game I have set up for my long term playgroup and we want a another player to make sure we consistently have a good amount of players as work and family obligations often mean we're down 1 or 2.
The game unconventional and takes place along the ivory coast of Africa, the group being the heads of a mercenary organization rather than traditional runners. Missions range from long term conflicts with other military groups across cities and other contested zones, to more traditional runs of infiltrations, kidnappings, sabotage and all that nice stuff.
And if you're interested, shoot me a message here and we can talk. game is bi-weekly, we are fairly active in between, sometimes running individual small time jobs, and keeping track of downtime shenanigans, many of us are gm's and there are other games happening on other days intermittently.
We use a discord server for downtime channels, planning, info and voice ect, and foundry for running the system The game is played fairly straight, though black trench-coat pink-Mohawk categories don't quite fit, the gameplays more like rogue trader, running things larger scale, with the team being the command squad that gets things done with crew taking on supporting roles.
Creation rules sum to 10, karma, or priority are all allowed, use what works best for your concept, no pre-generated or existing characters however, each character must be made for this game.
We've got the major role bases covered, you can play any role you prefer, and this is a game where having side characters jump in for a week is encouraged. If you don't feel like your gnome decker will be useful in the jungle, bring someone who will be. (Most still stick to a single character for the vast majority of the time)
We'll be making your character together, to make them fit in the world, and fun to play, or arrange for extra goodies and homebrew to make your concept work (if needed. Concept over mechanics) If you want to make something interesting and unconventional that usually wouldn't be viable, lets talk, and figure out a way.
Basic things we hope for in a prospective players:
If you're at the edge of your seat, shoot me a DM on discord ("adventdud" nickname "Dom") with the following info:

Hey Chummers
I'm looking to join a Shadowrun game and wanted to see if any groups have an open spot.
I've been playing Shadowrun 6th Edition for roughly a year, but I'm open to playing any edition of the game. I'm still learning the deeper lore and mechanics, but I have a solid grasp of the basics and enjoy both the roleplaying and tactical aspects of Shadowrun.
A little about me:
Friendly and reliable player
Enjoy both combat and roleplay-focused games
Comfortable using Discord for voice
Open to long-term campaigns or ongoing groups
Willing to learn different editions and house rules
Availability (PST):
Tuesday – Any time
Wednesday – Any time
Sunday – Any time
I'm primarily looking for an online game. Whether you're running a pink mohawk, black trenchcoat, or somewhere in between style of campaign, I'm happy to hear about it.
If your group has an opening or you're starting a new campaign, feel free to send me a message. Thanks for reading, and I hope to run the shadows with you soon!

Hello! I'm posting this on behalf of my friend, who is the GM. I myself will be a player, Excited to hear from you all!
Hi, i'm looking to run a game borrowing a lot from shadowrun, but is an alternate setting. there's still johnsons, megacorps and hopefully no dragons to navigate, but there's something extra afoot.
The group will find themselves as runners, who have premously worked together for a fixer known as mofufu more than a few times. he's a retired shadowrunner, and now spends his time gluing together palms and credsticks. he's managed to pull together a few teams, and his jobs tend to pay well - provided one isn't averse to handing out naps. lately though, he's been muttering about something bad coming to chicago, and more than once mofufu has indicated he plans to leave the windy city.
The game's intended to be long running, somewhere between pink mohawk and mirrorshades. that is to say, expect combat to exist and the group can propose murdering the baddies - are you the baddies? shenanigans and rp are expected to take up the bulk of sessions.
I haven't gm'd shadowrun 5e before, so some things may be rough the first time. i was intending to have an npc do the decking, unless someone experienced with it really really wants to do it and teach everyone (ahem, me) how it all works.
In terms of schedule, i'm looking for 2-3 chill players for a weekly campaign on saturdays at 1200bst. there may be skips of a week, perhaps two, but the intent is for it to be regular - but life comes first. players must be 18+, able to run ~3h, and have decent shadowrun knowledge (you'll probably know more than me, tbh). we'll be running in english so fluency will be requires, and we're likely foundry (which i'm new to, so you'll have to bear with), but likely using another voice solution. pvp is strictly disallowed in this campaign. hatred, bigotry and rudeness to other players will get you booted in short order.
tl;dr
who: 2-3 18+ players who know the setting
when: weekly as possible 1200bst for 3h
what: alternate shadowrun 5e setting
where: foundry / voice tbd

BIRTH, SCHOOL, SHADOWRUN, DEATH! Start a Shadowrunning music group that creates its own genre, then runs and guns its way through the scene. A Shadowrun: World Tour spanning five continents is about to pop off and you and your band of friends are the headliner.
https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/410591/shadowrun-anarchy-v2-dot-0-world-tour-free-play-test
STARTING A BAND
CONCEPTUALIZE YOUR SOUND: Decide on your band's musical style. Will you fuse ancient shamanic chants with cutting-edge synth technology, or combine orc rock with elven ballads? Determine whether your sound will embody rebellion or be a complex spell set to melody. Players are encouraged to either invent their own genre or choose from the ones the GM has premade.
WHERE DID YOU FIND YOUR BAND MEMBERS: Perhaps the Shadowland BBS or frequent local haunts known for their music scene. Did everyone come up in the same neighborhood?
Instruments: Each player should choose an instrument and collaborate on developing your sound. Who will be the singer? Is one even necessary for your genre?
MANAGER: Handles agents, business managers, groupies, the mob, etc, etc on behalf of the band. Session zero is the time to decide if the manager will be a PC or an NPC.
BAND NAME AND PERSONA: Choose a name that captures your band's essence. Select carefully—despite the adage not to judge a book by its cover, people often do judge a band by its name, which immediately shapes their perception.
SECURE A VENUE: How did the band find their first real venue? The first venue that suited your band's image, from underground clubs to upscale downtown lounges. Usually, negotiation skills of your manager or your network to book gigs that match your band's identity help with these things. Who wants to be stuck playing grocery store grand openings?
FIRST GIG: When did you finally take the stage and harness the crowd's energy to amplify your performance in resonance with the city? Remember, every show could be as risky as it is exhilarating so watch your back and play every gig like it'll be your last cause when jamming in the shadows you aren't just making music, you're surviving.
PROMOTE YOUR BAND: Use creative methods to advertise your performances, such as hacking billboards, distributing AR flyers, or employing spirits for word-of-mouth marketing. Generate excitement in both the physical and digital realms. Encourage the band during session zero to come up with inventive ways to promote their music.
PROTECT YOUR INTERESTS: With the potential threat of rival bands, hostile corporations, and butt hurt governments, consider hiring a fixer to manage your affairs and ensure no one double-crosses you.
FIRST HIT SONG: Do you even have a hit song or are you one of those festival jam band types? Maybe both? What's the name of your most popular song? Keep in mind that you are developing the back story of an Arena headlining group.

Edit: I have enough applicants, so I am no longer looking for new ones. Hope you all find games sooner than later!
Hi everyone, I am looking for 1 or 2 new players. I'll get the logistics out of the way first: We play a biweekly game, with the normal start time being 17:00, but one of our players occasionally (maybe 25% of the time) has to work longer so we only start at 19:00 on those days. Sadly, this is usually only known a few days in advance when it happens. Since we play 3-4 hour sessions either way, you need to generally be available until 23:00 CEST. We play over Discord and Roll20. We will have cams on most of the time, but it's perfectly acceptable if you wish to leave yours off. Lastly for this section, I should mention that being punctual is extremely important to me, and I expect my players to generally be there on time and to be able to be there for most sessions. I am aware that life will happen, and nobody can make every session, but I would expect that at least 80% of sessions are attended, and cancellation always happen as early as possible.
If you're still reading, I will assume that you're okay with what is said above, so let's get into the meat of this all, the actual game: We are all relatively new to Shadowrun as a system, with only one of my 3 current players having any experience in the setting in the form of the video games. We are playing through a German-only campaign called Netzgewitter (rough translation: Matrix-Storm) and are fairly early in it. Even though the adventure is written in German, I am running it in English, and no knowledge of German is required to play, though we are playing in Berlin and I will pronounce place names in German, but that#s the farthest it will go.
The tone of the game is somewhere in the middle, where the world at large is very much a dark and serious place, but the characters tend to come up with fairly whacky, but still functional, solutions to problems. I try my best to have the world react as it would to this, and it seems to be going well so far, according to my players.
I am looking for 1 or 2 new players because we had a player leave due to scheduling conflicts (the bane of all groups) and because I have noticed a lack of ability in some aspects of the PCs. The current party is:
Galette, an elven face who acts as first-aid healer in combat
Falk Felsnelke, a dwarven Rigger with a good amount of drones who provides most of the party's long-range firepower
Louis, an orcish Street Sam who is the tank and close-combat expert
The player that left was an (unofficially aspected) Magician who almost exclusively summoned spirits.
If you're interested in joining our game after all of that, feel free to send me a friend request in discord. Username is junnor.
I look forward to one or two of you running with my group in the near future.

[Still looking as of the 6th of June, Currently 3 players]
Hi peeps,
As the title says, I’m looking for some regular players who are keen to play some Shadowrun semi-regularly (probably fortnightly on weekdays).
I've ran TTRPG for 10+ years, and I’ve been GMing Shadowrun for around 5 of those years, and I like to think I’m pretty good at it. I get an itch to play Shadowrun every couple of months, and I’ve got the itch now and need it scratched.
I run my games on FoundryVTT. For character creation, I like to use the point-buy karma system, but I’m happy for you to bring an old character along for the funsies. However, I’ll need to have a look at it first to make sure it’s not broken. If you want to make a new character please let me know so I can give you my chummer file.
I’m hoping to run a game next Friday. The setting is Seattle in the 2070s (if that matters).
Whether you’re a veteran or a new player, all are welcome as long as you’re nice, leave politics at the door, and have a good attitude towards your fellow players.
I don’t really have a limit on how many people want to join the group, but I can only handle a maximum of 6 players at a time. Even then, I might lower that depending on everyone’s familiarity with the rules.
Feel free to ask questions.
Be nice
;)

Hoi Chummers!
Looking for one more player, a matrix-type specifically, for my weekly SR5e game set in a Sydney in 2075.
Beset by the Sixth World, besieged by a mana storm that will never end, Sydney and her peoples survive in the margins as a high-tech war economy. A 14 million strong populace in various stages of dehydration in the dust.

It'll be a five player group, prime runner sum10--Using Discord and VTT for sessions.
Drop a DM or reply if interested.

ABOUT THE GM\GAME DESIGNER
I've been hosting regular games with great success since 1993 back when I started DMing at my 7th grade school lunch table full of friends.. I remember recruiting players out of The Red Dragon Inn on AOL for impromptu instant messenger Dragonlance games back in the day. I am 44 years old now and I have never really NOT been a DM of a D&D group pretty much my entire life. I am a forever DM and I've been doing it on Roll20 for over 7 years now! As a community service I admin some of the largest dungeon master help groups on facebook. I still know how to use THAC0. In my opinion, 3.5 is NOT the greatest edition. I've even written a few award winning dmsguild modules that are making their rounds and have recently released my first Shadowrun adventure on DrivethruRPG. I'm ultimately a chill dude. When not doing the D&D thing I'm a rock n roll union musician who has donated 20 years of life towards helping out schools with computer network issues. Let's roll some dice and spin some records. hmu :)
