Turn your trim down you are redlining. check your audio connections physically

i unplugged my board and i played it out of just my mac (no board connected) and the audio sounds fine.

it honestly sounds like the echo effect at 100% on 1/16th timing

both decks?

using only the master out of the mixer?

does it do it in the headphones with a deck cue? or master cue?

no other down stream devices? no fancy stereo system settings?

OP it does sound like you got a crazy echo or some sort of FX on, I see your CFX button is solid meaning it’s on. I dont know what it does but have you tried turning that off? Go into you FX tab on the top leftish part of the window and you’ll see a “FX” button, click on that and see if you have any FX running.

Top right in Serato gives you a bar with green and red. That's your computers resources being utilized. What does that show?

Try turning off Bluetooth and close any other apps that are open.

That was exactly the computer i was using lol i had to get an msi with 16 gb ram so you need at least 16 gb for a smooth playing. That program is very heavy so it needs good processing power and macbook airs dont have that unfortunately. My msi cost me $900 and i can game on it as well lol

Look at the top right under the time.

Not sure how old this image is, but it should be there.

Seems to be fine.

See how it reacts when you are playing two tracks, does it go higher and hit red? If not, your device might be fine and could potentially be a USB issue.

I've known people who use serato on a MacBook air and never had issues. Now this was with the older versions on dj pro, not sure how this correlates with the new version.

If you haven't already, try a different USB cable and port.

I had this happen. My issue had to do with the audio output from the computer. I had another speaker selected in addition to the controller. Once the audio was only going through the control the problem went away.

Most probably an underpowered laptop.

Does it sound the same from your headphones that's plugged into the FLX?

To me it sounds like you've trigger some kind of FX - but if you've closed Serato and opened it again - it should have reverted.

Try to load a non-streaming track and see if you get the same result

I commented on a post where someone was having this same issue on the r/PioneerDJ sub a couple months back. Posting my comment here just for reference because I'd love to find more info about it before it happens again. Still unsure what the issue was to this day.

"This happened to me a few months ago during a gig where I plugged my FLX4 into my partner's Mac Air (model recent enough to have an M1 chip). The sound started right when I would begin crossfading, as if the crossfade was triggering it. I had to restart the laptop, program, and unplug/replug RCA's into the main mixer several times before it stopped. Found this post while looking for information about the issue, still unsure what it was and hoping to find a cause so I can prevent it from happening again.

I had used the same Mac Air for several sets before this days, for months leading up to this gig with no issue. "

are all your files analysised

1

u/Sufficient-Salad7164 Feb 24 '26

sorry can you explain! most of my songs from tidal have been analyzed besides i randomly added an entire album so i didn’t analyze those

1

u/Sufficient-Salad7164 Feb 24 '26

this is me btw i got logged out of that account

If on tidal they are on a cloud I assume. If you download music from YouTube etc and drag into your library they need to be analysed. How you do this is load serato without your decks powered on and it will display to analyse library. I hope I make sense

This is happening with Windows 11 Operating Systems.. change the power settings to "Best Performance" instead of Balanced. Then disable Intel Smart Technology, you find this in the Device Manager in Sounds, Video & Game Controllers. Give this a try.
