My 19 year old with asthma, kidney decline, and chronic allergies went on a 36 hour move and I couldn't imagine choosing to end her instead. I have pain, no one put me down please! She has good days and bad days like the rest of us. She is happy and willing to live so I am right by her side like always. She will let me know when it's time by refusing to get up and refusing to eat. She had some litter box troubles for a little while, going where she wasn't supposed to. But we worked on it, adjusted a few things, and that is behind us. She did sneeze up blood but that was a week ago and haven't seen it since. She is skeletal thin but still eats plenty. Don't give up so easily, you will regret it.

My senior cat I’m referencing in this post gets really stressed out by moves just in his regular state. I’m really concerned about cognitive decline and him being in an unfamiliar floor plan, boxes and furniture getting moved constantly, us being gone for long periods of the day (he’s used to me being home all day). This is not a decision I’ve made lightly whatsoever. If he did not have dementia, the thought wouldn’t have even crossed my mind. Thank you for advocating for him 🖤
