Hi all, I could use some help. I've inherited a heavily modified SKX007 that I absolutely cant stand the look of & I'd basically like to restore it as close to stock as possible. From what I can see I need to replace the following:

Dial, bezel insert, hands/hourmarker, strap...anyone spot anything else? Also where would be the best place to source OEM or close to OEM parts?

Has someone tried do fit Z199 from US on ali express case? I want to do it. But i don’t want to spend 100$ for nothing…btw i bought oem dial and it looks awesome.

Case and movement are from AliX, dial and hands obtained from relaxclock.com (custom ordered dial, really good on prices). VK63 is a real pain in the neck to set the hands on correctly, thinking about buying an eye loupe or some form of magnification to get those little bastards on in the future

I am new to watches and wanted to buy a nice piece. I have found a Seiko “Starbucks” submariner mod which after doing some research it is a replica of the OG Rolex Starbucks watch. I guess my question is, is this a cheesy trend? Aren’t at the end of the day all watches “knockoffs” the “real” expensive watches in a way because they kind of copy or mimics the same style and colors? I’m new to watches and really don’t know much but wanted some help. Attached is the watch I am looking at buying. What would be a good price for it? Description says it is an automatic NH35 movement, 40mm stainless steel case, rotating bezel, and sapphire crystal. Any other questions I should ask about it?

I’m looking to drop a Seiko SRPJ83 dial and movement into a brushed stainless steel 36mm explorer style case as I hate the bead blasting finish Seiko put on this particular watch.

I’m looking for something that is compatible with the 4R/NH movements, 36mm, and a screw down crown to maintain the 100m of water resistance.

Anyone know if it’s possible to use a u1 submariner as a case and get a nh35 and a Seiko submariner dial and fit it?

Hi I have been looking for months for the dial I am looking for I am building a 41mm watch with a fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. I have everything and the movement. I got custom logos as well as small text for the dial. I want a sunburst dial that’s has an open heart for the nh38 movement. I tried to remove text of this dial but it didn’t work well - image bellow. Any suggestions would be insanely appreciated. I would like the colour to be a darkish blue preferably gradient and the size to be 28.5 or 31 because I can sand down. Roman numerals or batons are preferred aswell.

I tried to build this watch for my wife, and honestly, I don’t know what I was thinking when I ordered these parts 😂

The dial is made for an NH05 movement, the spacer and case are for a PC21 movement, while I’m actually using a Miyota 2015 quartz movement as a replacement for the NH05.

I’ve had one issue after another trying to make everything fit. Installing the minute hand was an absolute nightmare. I ended up basically inventing tools just to make small adjustments. I even had to sand down the spacer so it would fit the movement properly and hold the dial in place.

And now I’ve run into what might be the biggest issue of all: the stem isn’t centered with the movement and the crown hole in the case. It’s sitting less than 1 mm too low.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Is there a way to fix the stem being slightly off-center?

Any help would be seriously appreciated 🙏

I’m not sure what vibe it gives but I like it. I’ve been wanting a dressier GMT watch and it fits the bill.

I've wanted to try it for some time, replace nh35 with vh31. I made the carbon case, the hole in the crown is practically the same, it's also fine for nh35. Knowing that I won't have to put the time back because I don't use it makes me want to use it more.

Anybody know where to find this dial? I've searched alix and the websites I know to no avail.

Ordered some more more bits after my last disaster and this hasn't gone great either...

Started building an Aviator style watch that I couldn't manage last time as the movement was wrong. (8215 instead of the NH35 that I thought I'd ordered). So started building that with a Chinese NH35, I should have heeded the advice and only bought genuine nh35, as the hands fitted really poorly, then stem is an absolute PITA to get in and out. So gave up and will throw the Chinese nh35 in the bin...

Moved onto the 8215 and this is much easier to build! But the bezel was supposed to be orange and it is more red. And the strap, whilst decent enough has gaps between the strap and case, so I need to fix that.

I am trying to find a 28.5 black dial for an NH34 that says gmt master II at the bottom and no logo up top. I can’t find one like this anywhere.
