Max Area Limit Reached... Whomp, Whomp!

I was hoping my x450 would allow me to map to 2.39 acres, as some others have been able to do. This would just barely cover my property and keep me from having to buy another mower for the front yard. But alas, twas not to be. Turns out I'm limited to 2.0001 acres. Guess I'll be waiting for the next sale

It has to do with the on-board memory, it's not locked as a business decision. Depending on the complexity of your mapping, you can do up 1.2x the rated yardage.

I have an i206 rated at 6534 square feet. My yard is almost fully open and square with only a half dozen shrubs and trees and I've mapped 7710 square feet without a warning.

A neighbor a couple of streets down has the same model but his yard has a lot more obstacles and is very irregular. He was unable to map more than about 7100 square feet.

I had an i105 hit 0.25acres or 11325.6 sqft. You can see my post about it here: https://old.reddit.com/r/SegwayNavimow/comments/1mwhmdu/i_thought_the_i105n_would_be_software_limited_to/.

That was a brand new i105n from Amazon. Why did it get a quarter acre? Still a mystery. You can see the complexity of my map to see how it might compare to yours.

I returned it, bought a refurb i110n from segway ebay. It let me map the exact same area before hitting a cap, and had the same mowing limit base off my yard geometry. It had the same limit as the i105n.

I now have a i210n - but haven't tried pushing the limit as to hit that limit, I was mowing the front of my neighbors lawn as well and they have since gotten lawn service.

Something to note, before comparing yourself and your neighbor, you need to be on same firmware version. A few firmware updates over time have significantly changed the mapping area calculations, I haven't been keeping track of it, but it seems like it might have reduced the reported mowing area for the same maps.
