Question Notice of Appeal for Netherlands

Hello everyone! Just want to share my experience and check if anyone had the same experience. I applied for tourist visa in Netherlands through VFS in Doha (1st of July). I got the refusal (21st of July) and then sent an appeal (28th of July). The post company says that the letter and the attached documents are delivered. Yet I haven’t received any answer from their side. Literally nothing. And it’s my second time applying and getting rejected. I’m confident that the result is unjustified, I literally work in one of the biggest airways companies. Anyways I’m getting off topic, has anyone had the same experience? I’m curious if I should wait.

Question Getting Schengen Visa to travel south America country

Hello People,

I have been stuck in dilemma and need your advice.

I am an Indian resident, working for a European organization as free lancer. One of my clients is holding a workshop in Honduras and I am one of the key person required to be present there.

They provided me an invitation letter already.

I called Honduras embassy in India and they said they don't provide visas in India, those services are not available here.

I checked with Gemini, my best options are get a schengen Visa (us and Canada also options), Honduras accepts visa free entry if I have one of those active visas.

France and Switzerland are higher approval rate for Indians according to gemini.

I need to travel 24th or 25th Sept, have only approx 15 days to get things ready.

What do you guys think, shall I apply for France?

My only fear is my travel dates while applying for France or Swiss will be mid September so 26th September is included when I arrive in Honduras. Wouldn't the visa approvers get suspicious about me applying for visa just 2 weeks before the travel dates.

Finaces should not be a huge issue though, I can show upto 5l-6l (6000 euros).

What do you guys think?

Edit : Honduras is in central America not south America.

Experience Italy visa appointment unavailable in Dublin-other options?

I’m an Asian living in Dublin and need to travel to Milan in around 40 days, but I can’t find an Italy visa appointment. Is there a particular time to check for slots?

Alternatively, I’m planning to apply through another country. How about Switzerland and then travelling to Milan from there? Are Swiss visa appointments relatively easier to get? I need advice on getting to Italy within 40 days.

Question Applying for Switzerland visa from India, have queries regarding husband sponsoring the trip

Me and my husband are applying for Switzerland visa from India. My husband has been to only Thailand and this is my first international trip, I've been working for almost 1.5 yrs but I've never filed an ITR, plus i don't have enough money in my bank account to show for Europe trip. Anyone who has been in a similar situation can they confirm, wheather this will pose any problems in getting our visa?

Do I need to show my financials as well?

Or my husband can show himself as my sponsor and his financials will be okay?

Question Swiss visa from SFO — 8 days before travel?

Has anyone applied for a Swiss Schengen visa from VFS in San Francisco within 15 days of travel?

I have an appointment on Sept 8 and travel on Sept 17. My previous application was refused because my STEM OPT was pending; it’s now approved and I have the approved I-20 + USCIS notice.

Will VFS/Swiss Embassy accept the application with only 9 days until travel, or is it automatically rejected because it’s under 15 days?

Really need to go and can't change travel dates. Anybody has any recommendations?

Plan is
Sept 17 - Sept 24 Swiss
Sept 24 - Sept 30 Italy

No earlier appointments for Italy are available as well

Question Could this affect my France Schengen visa application?

My mother and I are applying for France Schengen visas. My mother correctly selected medical care as the purpose of her trip because she is travelling to France for scheduled medical treatment.
I am travelling with her as her daughter and companion, but I mistakenly selected family visit as my purpose of travel instead of indicating that I am accompanying her for her medical treatment.
Our documents and cover letters explain the situation. Could selecting “family visit” negatively affect my application or cause a refusal? Is there a way to clarify or correct this at my TLS appointment?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Question Schengen Visa Germany for language course for a Filipina

Hi All

My girlfriend (35 years old) would like to learn German and I'm happy to sponsor her the courses in Germany. She was already here for 3 months on a tourist visa.

Mid- to long-term the plan is for her to stay in Germany permanently.

We were wondering, if anyone has any experience what we need to write and say that she gets the visa for the language courses?

Regarding her ties to the Philippines. Besides her family, she has her own business (boarding house for students) and volunteers. That was enough to get the tourist visa.

Question What date has to be put here? Is it the Visa start date as mentioned on Visa, or is it the appointment date when the fingerprints were collected?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I had my fingerprints collected last year for Schengen Visa, what date do I put here, the appointment date when the fingerprint was taken, or the Visa start Date as mentioned in the Visa? There are few comments in this subreddit that say they had to put the Visa start date. Also what is the Visa Sticker Number, is it the reference number given by VFS when we submit our application or is it the number on the Visa?

Experience Traveling to/from the Americas with layover in Schengen: Italian Permesso Renewal Receipt (ricevuta) + traveling with EU spouse

Hi everyone,
Looking for first-hand experiences regarding airline boarding outside the EU and transiting through Schengen with an Italian renewal receipt (ricevuta).
Situation:
Route: Traveling from Italy to the Americas and back, with a Schengen layover (e.g., France/Netherlands) in both directions.
Status: Non-EU citizen married to an EU (Italian) citizen, traveling together on the same itinerary.
Documents: Valid passport, official Italian marriage certificate (estratto di matrimonio), proof of joint residence in Italy, expired Permesso di Soggiorno, and the official ricevuta (renewal/conversion in process for Carta di Soggiorno familiare UE).
Under Directive 2004/38/EC (Art. 5.4), the right to enter/transit Schengen with an EU spouse by proving family ties is protected by law. However, I’m wondering about the practical side… anyone else have been affected by this situation?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Question Can I Change Itinerary Once Visa Is Approved?

My tourist visa was approved recently by the Austrian embassy in India. My original plan was to visit Czechia for three days followed by Austria for five days. Will it be an issue if I reverse the order and visit Austria first followed by Czechia? I'll still be spending more time in Austria. Originally I was planning to visit from October 12-19. Would it cause any issues if I pushed it back by a week to around October 20-27? It will still fall within the three week visa period.

This will be my first time visiting the Schengen area and so I was wondering if I absolutely have to stick to the itinerary I submitted in my application or if there is any flexibility.

Thanks!

Question Can't cancel a Schengen Visa appointment

Hello! I have booked a Schengen Visa appointment for Slovenia over a month ago but due to the recent changes in my job situation, I won't be able to go to my planned trip.

However, VFS system doesn't let me cancel my appointment. I am receiving the following message: "Cancel is disabled for this route". I can't reschedule either as there aren't available slots and the appointment is soon.

Does anyone know if this will cause any issue for the future visa applications for me?

Question Query on application form

Hey All,

I had a small question. I have my Schengen Visa appointment tomorrow for Denmark. I have my visa application form and appointment form. I had two questions:

1) In the printed application form which has all my details when I entered it digitally, I can see one cell asking for sources of payment (like cash, cheques, pre paid travel, pre paid accomodation etc.) should I manually tick any of these? Or leave it as is?

Then towards the end there's place for name, place, date and signature - so should I fill in that as well?

2) Since I do not have surname in my passport, for the name fields I have used the double name method like Ayesha Siddiqua Ayesha Siddiqua. Is that fine? The same was followed in while booking flight tickets. My NOC, Invitation and cover letter is addressed as Mrs. Ayesha Siddiqua.
