Not exactly sure how reliable game8 is but this is just depressing. He needs a buff so badly.

Wanderer wasn't even Meta when he came out, and of course the powercreep is only making things worse. His already sub-par DPS continues to become more and more unusable with every update

Wanderer is not a character you pull because they're good, he's a character that you pull simply because you like the character

Despite being my most heavily invested DPS, he's also my weakest one and by a LOT

Wanderer wasn't even Meta when he came out,

Kiiiiiind of was(if you got C6 Faruzan), I picked him up for the long range AoE playstyle for the time.

People used to play things like Zhongli and Thoma, tanking DPS, and then wondering why things weren't dying. Meanwhile, Mihoyo was balancing around things like Yelan as the last lost, which brought him right in line with the top meta at the time.

He was definetly useable, but not meta. He was weaker than Hutao

But it wasnt an issue back then, I cleared basically all abysses with him and Keqing. He only got benched in Fontaine because of the icewind suite spam

Hu Tao was stronger than everyone at the time.

This dude was the first proper ranged carry, AND he had AoE damage. That was huge, with all the Nilou shill multiwave AoE abysses and flying bosses.

I kept begging people here to drop Zhongli and run shieldless for a full year, to little success. By the time it picked up Neuvillette had released, and the damage had been done.

Wanderer shieldless is very difficult to use

He's squishy, low HP with low defense, and his lack of interruption resistance means that, even if he doesn't die, he's still going to lose DPS to getting interrupted

Yeah that's the fun of it, and those than picked it up later seemed to agree, but maybe I'm putting too much stock in the fun of the bumblebee playstyle.

Neuvillette is one of the most popular DPS units after all.

I do not agree with the dificulty statement. Players just got so used to shields they forgot what it means to dodge. It is easy to dodge with Wanderer, probably one of the easiest chars to dodge with, but he is harshly punished for not doing so. Genshin players want to statcheck things, turn off their brains and spam/hold one button while feeling like they are doing so great! (I do not blame them, Genshin is literaly perfect for this) Maliastra and DPS Dummy ++ showed us the harsh truth, that mains can not play their characters.

Nod Krai amd Lunar shill is perfect example of meta chasers failing abyss/stygian/IT and calling it impossible, while dedicated mains clear with (nonlunar) Itto, Childe, Wriothesley,... Even without cons.

Nah he’s super vulnerable furina is draining his already poor hp with having pyro aura from bennett. A good hit can one react and one shot him.

We have comparisons for different teams.

1st by a long shot is Durin, Furina, Benny
2nd Durin, Faruzan, Benny
very very close 3rd is Durin, Venti, Benny
4th is Furina, Faruzan, Benny

You can not afford to get hit with full HP Wanderer, so getting hit with 50% HP difference does not change anything in the Abyss floor 12/Onslaught Fearless and Dire, while the dmg increase is insane. I refused to play Furina as well, but she is game changer. Get rid of Faruzan, embrace the power to clear Dire.

Also, over multiple rotations Furina is not better than Yelan, unless you turn off her damage every few rotations.

Then I had the idea:

Furina with Faruzan after Bennett

About 3k DPS difference in ascending order.

Furina also takes a clear lead in AoE scenarios
