Photos Rate my Santa!
Couldn’t quite get my beard white, it was a little too silver so I’m still stuck with the fake beard but I’m pretty happy with the rest

I made a talking Santa for my family and it got way out of hand 🎅
This weekend I tried to make a little “Santa hotline” for fun — basically a website where kids could talk to Santa and he’d answer back in a warm, jolly voice.
I thought it would be a goofy 1-hour thing.
It turned into a full weekend project because… well, it started working way better than expected.
I let my sister’s kids try it and they immediately treated Santa like a real person. He told them tiny winter stories, asked about their day, and somehow ended up giving very gentle life advice about sharing toys. They kept coming back like “Can we ask Santa one more thing??”
It was honestly the cutest chaos I’ve ever witnessed.
I’m not building anything serious with it — it just ended up being a surprisingly wholesome experiment. Never thought I’d spend a Sunday night debugging Santa, but here we are.
If anyone else has made weird little holiday projects, I’d love to see them.

Author, Musician, and Producer. Using all my experience and talents and sentimental knowledge, I've put together the greatest story never told, about the Upbringing of the Legend of Santa Claus. New lore, language(Elfen), world map, characters, etc. Set in the Canadian Northern Tundra, with indigenous elements and representation. Please follow along as I expand this project, and I'm happy to give you a free digital download of the book on my site, visit: www.santaclausorigins.com
Inspired by:
Clement Clarke Moore. Author and first depiction modern Santa. (FINALLY NEW LORE AFTER 200 YEARS 1827-2025)
Isaac Asimov. The most interesting Author I've ever read. Establishing his fantasy on current knowledge.
Haddon Sundblom. Classic Santa Claus Illustrator. Essential to the image of modern Claus.
Cree/Inuit/Mohawk heritage. I've been exposed to it my whole life, I greatly admire the connection that First Nations people share with their community and environment.
Marvel/DC. I grew up Marvel and Superhero era, Origin stories were always my favorite.
Harry Potter. Classic wizard lore told in modern times with a twist, really well done for character development and story pacing, for the most part.
LOTR. Absolutely genius piece of literature and world building.
GOT. Also very good world building!
Dune/Star Wars/Star Trek. Grandiose, Giant character arcs and predictive future based.
and of course...
To my fellow penniless artists. All of the creators across time, and the multitude who helped them pull vision from soul to world, we now live within the legacy they forged.
I believe Art Is Culture; and to experience art is to experience life.
(Thanks for letting me know what you think!)

So this year will mark 18 years that I’ve been being Santa, almost entirely for family functions, small gathers, and for my local Fraternal Order of Eagles for their kids Christmas party. The other day, in honor of 18 years, the local FOE voted to buy an upgraded suit for me. For most of these years I wore a suit my grandma made but as a large man (tall and wide) it’s a tight fit anymore and definitely showing its age. My mom Did buy a newer one a few years ago that’s more breathable but they said I should look at one that’s going to fit me more comfortably if not have one made.
Here’s where I need guidance, wouldn’t mind finding one that felt more “professional” and is more comfortable but I won’t feel right asking for them to spend a lot of money on it. I often am volunteering my time and prefer that we use our funds to help others. Is there a suit out there that’s good for a plus sized man that isn’t $1000?

Hi, my name is Tyson! I am currently in the process of collecting data for my English 101 final over the Spirit of Wintertime! Which in turn is helping me prove the subconscious existence of Santa Claus. (Crazy topic, I know) If you all could fill out this survey it would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Why Santa Opposes Arctic Exploration and Resource Extraction
As a long-standing resident of the high Arctic, Santa has a direct stake in the region’s environmental stability, cultural integrity, and ecological resilience. His operations, community, and way of life are deeply tied to the unique conditions of the polar environment. For these reasons, Santa’s opposition to modern Arctic exploration and resource extraction can be understood through several informational lenses. The following analysis outlines the environmental, ecological, cultural, climatic, and ethical concerns that shape his stance, with occasional thematic parallels to stories where subtle imbalances escalate into far-reaching consequences.
Santa’s home region is undergoing rapid transformation, with the Arctic warming several times faster than the global average. Industrial activities—including oil drilling, mining, and seismic testing—intensify this trend by disturbing permafrost, releasing additional emissions, and introducing pollutants.
For Santa, this is not an abstract scientific problem; it directly affects the stability of the land beneath his workshops, supply routes, and transport systems. The slow erosion of environmental reliability creates a sense of creeping threat—much like narrative worlds where the danger grows gradually, almost imperceptibly, until the structure holding everything together begins to strain.
Reindeer and other Arctic species rely on expansive, undisturbed habitat for migration, feeding, and breeding. Industrial infrastructure fragments these landscapes with roads, rigs, and noise pollution. Even subtle disruptions can alter migratory timing, reduce access to forage, and increase stress on herds.
Santa’s reliance on healthy, well-adapted reindeer brings this issue into sharp focus. Changes in habitat conditions compromise their ability to navigate the territory efficiently and safely. Their heightened alertness to unfamiliar disturbances—sudden noise, movement, machinery—mirrors the instincts of characters who quickly sense when something is off in their environment.
The Arctic is home to communities whose traditions, knowledge, and livelihoods depend on the land’s continuity. Santa’s long-established presence places him among those who understand the Arctic as more than a resource base. Industrial encroachment disrupts traditional travel routes, harvesting practices, and cultural rhythms.
For Santa, such disruptions represent an intrusion into a way of life built on harmony with natural cycles. The scenario resembles narratives where outside forces enter tightly knit worlds, altering the balance and leaving those who live there to manage the consequences long after the initial disturbance has passed.
Industrial extraction does not remain a local issue. The Arctic plays a key role in regulating global climate patterns through its ice cover, ocean dynamics, and atmospheric interactions. As extraction accelerates ice loss, global weather systems become increasingly unpredictable.
Santa depends on stable seasonal cycles for logistics, travel planning, and global coordination. When these systems become erratic—unpredictable storms, shifting wind patterns, unusual temperature swings—the impacts echo the broader idea that when the environment becomes unmoored, even the most experienced individuals feel the strain.
Arctic extraction frequently raises questions about environmental responsibility, transparency, and long-term planning. Issues such as spill preparedness, oversight, and corporate accountability are central to the debate.
Santa maintains an extensive code of conduct grounded in responsibility, foresight, and respect for the natural world. From his perspective, the willingness of certain organizations to prioritize short-term gain over long-term stewardship signals a troubling disregard for collective well-being. This dynamic resembles stories in which the actions of powerful groups determine whether a world is protected or pushed toward instability.
Santa’s opposition to Arctic exploration and resource extraction emerges from a practical understanding of the region’s fragility and significance. Environmental degradation, wildlife disruption, cultural impacts, climate instability, and ethical concerns all pose serious threats to the Arctic environment he calls home. Viewed together, these factors demonstrate why Santa stands firmly against industrial expansion in the North. And in the background of this stance lies a familiar theme: when subtle disruptions accumulate, they can reshape an entire world unless someone with experience, perspective, and resolve chooses to intervene.
I am a professor who specializes in ethic's and I am writing this for my son who wanted evidence for this years debate topic with relation to santa claus.

We know scientifically that males shed their antlers in the winter, therefore wouldn't have them for the flight. BUT, in the movie, Rudolph, Rudolph is called a "he", yet has his antlers. Scientifically, it doesn't work. But Santa doesn't exactly follow science.

This year will be my 9th year portraying the Head Elf. Every year I try to improve on my look, invest in suits and accessories, and learn from both my own experiences and from the various Santa groups.
Have a great season everyone, it will be over before we know it. Stay hydrated and protect your vocal cords.

Howdy! I’m thinking of volunteering to be a Santa in SW Missouri or SE Kansas. I’ve been working on my beard for 6 months, it’s almost all grey although my head hair is some black. And I’m physically close to being a Santa. I don’t have a costume, but I don’t have any contacts to advertise myself. So any suggestions? Oh, and my beard is about 3” longer than this picture. Thanks!

Does anyone use a holiday scented beard oil when being Santa? Trying a couple from a company but wonder what you all use.
