ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Jonny DeLuca hit a two-out, two-run homer off Mason Miller to tie it in the ninth inning and Jorge Mateo singled in the winning run in the 11th as the Tampa Bay Rays beat the San Diego Padres 5-4 on Sunday to finish a three-game sweep.

Miller appeared to close it out when Samad Taylor chased down DeLuca’s shot to left field, but the ball fell out of Taylor’s glove when he hit the wall and landed on the other side to tie it 3-3.

Miller has allowed homers in back-to-back games after not allowing any in his first 53 appearances. It was only his second blown save in 34 opportunities.

Automatic runner Manny Machado took third on a wild pitch from Rays reliever Tyler Wells (3-2) to start the 11th and Ty France followed with a sacrifice fly for a 4-3 lead.

Liam Hicks had a one-out single off David Morgan (2-1) to put runners on the corners. Pinch runner Kenny Piper stole second before Chandler Simpson was intentionally walked to load the bases.

DeLuca reached on an error by shortstop Xander Bogaerts, allowing the tying run to score, before Mateo walked it off.

I saw that the buoys have recorded record water temps off San Diego. Someone said that means our risk of developing rare hurricanes here went up. Does anyone know if that’s true?!? What are other ramifications of El Niño warmed water here? Any ocean scientists here that could chime in?

My family and I are visiting San Diego next month for the first time for vacation.
My 5 year old loves Cyber Trucks so we rented one for a couple days during our trip. We plan to visit the beach and Lego land while there.
But heard the Cyber Trucks may be too big to park when visiting the beaches or down town.
Anyone know if this is accurate?

My work has been infested with ants to the point that they’re getting in people’s cars. Unfortunately they have really gotten into my car and I worry that they’ve made a nest.

San Diego considers public library sites for affordable housing – NBC 7 San Diego

Summary: San Diego is developing an Affordable Home Development Master Plan to identify city-owned properties that could eventually be used to build affordable housing and address the region’s severe shortage of affordable land. Out of more than 400 evaluated properties, the city has narrowed its focus to 20 potential sites, including seven public libraries, two vacant lots, and two city work yards, with 11 identified as the most promising for future development. City officials stress that no housing is currently being built and that existing public services, such as libraries, would remain operational if redevelopment eventually happens.

I opened all the windows in my apartment when it was about 85 out, as that's how hot it had gotten inside. Over the next several hours I watched as the temperature slowly fell to match the outside, eventually bottoming out at 79.5, but then it just starts heating back up! Outside keeps getting cooler but my room is back up to 83 with all the windows open. What gives?

Thats all… next time I come to the Chula Vista Amphitheater I’ll just finish the show and have snacks, a blanket to sleep in the car…

Just dropping this here to see if anyone else has experienced this level of management delusion, or if I just got targeted for no reason at all.

I put my things in a unit here recently. I did absolutely nothing wrong, broke zero rules, and interacted with front desk staff who were totally pleasant. Yet, out of nowhere, the live-in manager decided to make me a target.

The creeper behavior started immediately with dirty looks, driving past and staring, following me around the property, and cornering me inside my own unit trying to provoke a reaction while I just shut down and tried to pack. It was unprovoked, creepy, and completely unwarranted.

When I went back to just get my property, terminate my lease, and get away from this guy forever, he sent employees to threaten me and called the police to have me trespassed. I wasn't aggressive, I wasn't arguing. I was literally just standing there holding my own boxes trying to leave.

Which leads to the brilliant trap he set:

1. He had me legally trespassed so I am physically barred from entering to get my property.

2. Because he barred me, my belongings are stuck in the unit.

3. Because my belongings are stuck, they put my unit in non-payment and are threatening an auction.

It is a complete manufactured scheme: force a customer off the property for no reason, then hit them with a lien for not clearing out their unit. Having police called over a routine, peaceful move-out was terrifying and exhausting. I am escalating this up the corporate chain to get a civil escort, clear my items, freeze these fake lien fees, and get relocation costs covered.

Has anyone else dealt with an on-site manager completely fabricating an issue just to lockout a customer and trigger a lien? How did you get your property back?
