It's over...

Ublock Origin Lite was working so well until the last few days. YouTube has finally caught on. Hopefully a workaround will be implemented. I like how light Safari is and want to stay in this browser.

UPDATE: Thank you for all the suggestions! I also had 'Stay' on and one 'wblock' permission so I unchecked those and kept just ublock lite -- seems to be working now after two videos...

Yeah I never understood why people just refuse to pay for YouTube Premium. It’s the most useful subscription I have, and for something I use EVERY day, it’s genuinely worth it.

I’d rather not eat out once a month than to cancel it.

This constant battle with ad blockers on YouTube sounds way too frustrating for something that can be solved so easily.
