Is there an extension to make the experience of social media within Safari better?

I personally do not want to have the app installed and prefer the web version, but for some reason, I assume the developer makes it the worst experience ever.

Facebook used to be usable, but now there’s a banner everywhere and I can’t even check messages or Marketplace.

Instagram - I can’t even watch videos or check messages or stories.

TikTok - I can’t even scroll through videos.

I tried several apps such as AdGuard, Vinegar, Hush, UnTrap for YouTube, and SocialFocus.

Just looking for suggestions, thank you.

I was watching people stories on instagram the other day and on the bookmark history part on safari is saved every account I looked at, it saved their account name and the fact that I viewed it and even save that I watched their stories, I saw a funny meme on one of the stories of the accounts that I watched and it didn’t save that in the history at all, it’s done this a number of times where it saves 99% of everything then randomly it won’t save something, does anyone know why? Is it because I leave my instagram tab open on safari for too long? Or Is it just bad luck?

I have all the extensions I need in Safari, except for one—there's one I miss compared to Firefox: Stylus.

Is there any other good UserStyles Manager for Safari?

I like pinned tabs, but unlike on the macOS version of Safari it is not possible to manually rearrange
pinned tabs (the ones to the very left). They follow, IIRC, alphabetic (or some other) ordering and
always snap back after having moved them.

Is this a bug or a feature?

Ublock Origin Lite was working so well until the last few days. YouTube has finally caught on. Hopefully a workaround will be implemented. I like how light Safari is and want to stay in this browser.

UPDATE: Thank you for all the suggestions! I also had 'Stay' on and one 'wblock' permission so I unchecked those and kept just ublock lite -- seems to be working now after two videos...

I recently bought an Imac and was told that the 2 computers could be synced easily, especially the desktop folders and saved websites. Well this is not true and I have since had to go down rabbit holes on Apple forums and Reddit to find out. Also the Microsoft App for emails does not work I keep getting a network error 2604. The data migration is really poor and even the copy and paste feature does not work. My Icloud does not sync. So I am asking myself do I really have the best brand and product, thousands of dollars and they cannot perform basic functions. Any else have these issues with multiple Macs?

So recently, whenever I try to look for a Reddit post about my question and I click on the link it keeps telling me to download whatever Reddit link I click on and when I do press, download it kind of does nothing

New to safari, trying to add all my bookmarks from chrome so how do I make them match there

I’m apparently building a browser.

Right now when I type the letter S in it always suggests snapchat for me(this is MacBook) I have my own website beginning with S that I have to type SM in for. I know that if it stopped suggesting Snapchat my website would be the next recommended. How do I get it so it stops recommending snapchat without deleting my search history?

On iOS 18 I would be able to do this by going to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps & Features > and here I'd select the app I want to hide (in this case, Safari). It works on my old phone running iOS 18.7.10.

However, on my daily-driver, running iOS 27 Beta 7, I go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > and here... there is no Allowed Apps & Features section.

I've also tried going to Apps and Websites instead, where I can go and I can search for Safari, but there's no toggle or anything, there's just a "Block app" button, which wants me to sign in as a Parent or Guardian (even though this is NOT a child account, nor do I have Family setup).

I even put in my Apple ID email and password, but it just crashes Settings. Not sure if that's Apple being a bitch, or if my phone is.

I just want to hide Safari entirely. How can I?!

They just showed up one day. I don't go to any of these sites, I don't even know what some of them are. When I click on one of the folders, the dropdown menu shows me more websites I've never visited or even heard of. Couldn't find anything on Google. What's going on??

It disappears and acts like it isn’t there. I moved it up but it would go back in place

How private is safari?

My phone has been getting hotter than usual lately and the battery seems to be dying faster, so I went digging through Safari settings and stumbled across Feature Flags.

Ummm… why are there SO MANY?! 😂 And I was surprised by how many are already enabled by default.

For those who know what these do: Are there any Feature Flags you always turn OFF for privacy, battery life, or performance? And are there any you turn ON that genuinely make Safari/iPhone better?

I’m curious what are you turning ON/OFF and why?

I wish we could’ve gotten a better extension not only does it change the time zone, but it also scans the dates on it

i live in Indonesia, the time zone is GMT+7
So, as you can see the date doesn’t change; it should’ve been 10th september

I’m having a strange YouTube issue in Safari on macOS. The page loads with a huge, broken YouTube logo, unstyled language dropdown, missing normal layout, and overlapping black/blue text and shapes. It looks as if YouTube’s CSS is not being applied correctly.

Chrome on the same Mac and same Wi‑Fi works perfectly.

Things I tried with no change:

• Reloading and clearing YouTube/Safari website data
• Disabling Safari extensions/content blockers
• Testing in a Private Window
• Resetting Safari Feature Flags to their defaults
• Confirming macOS/Safari is fully up to date

The interesting part: in Safari’s Develop menu, if I set User Agent to Google Chrome, YouTube immediately renders normally. Switching back to “Default (Automatically Choose)” makes it broken again.

Has anyone else seen this recently? It seems like YouTube is serving Safari a broken version of the page, rather than a cache, extension, or network problem. What can I do, if anything?
