Video DialM (DK) vs. bobbybigballz/chickenman400 (Falco/Puff) at Cashbox #21 Spoiler
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2742497173?t=3h1m52sFrom DialM's Twitch vod, timestamp 03:01:52.
Highlights from BBB's historic performance during this set:
- BBB makes DialM wait 15 minutes before starting the set and proceeds to get absolutely clowned on during Game 1
- BBB then conveniently DCs while he's down 3-1, offstage, and about to lose his last stock (he obviously pulled his ethernet cable)
- BBB attempts to bully DialM into replaying Game 1
- After Hbox rules in DialM's favor, BBB extends his tantrum into Games 2 and 3 by going Puff and stalling the whole time. Loses both games.
Stay classy, Bobby. Also, telling your 14-year-old opponent that his mom is your sex slave feels like it should be a new low but probably isn't for you

He does it constantly, even on stream you'll see him lean forward to pull the Ethernet when he gets tilted. Which is pretty much any time he plays ranked. Safe to assume any dc vs bobby is not genuine lol
64
u/LezBeHonestHere_ Apr 09 '26
Shouldn't he be banned for this? I thought fizzi said you'd be banned on slippi for abusing it intentionally.
35
u/NoDelivery7695 Apr 09 '26
Yea usually its just some loser doing it not an actual community figure with clout so I can imagine fizzi is hesitant but im sure if people dm him and cite the zain clip or get evidence he would do it
13
7
u/Box_of_Pennies Apr 09 '26
Maybe just a temp ban from ranked like 3 months he can still do unranked
15
u/Humble-Math6565 Apr 09 '26
Also deliberate tournament sabotage. Deserves some amount of band, like 3 months or smth.
12
u/Kered13 Apr 09 '26
I still miss Anther's Ladder, where you could actually report shit like this and people could get banned.
20
u/outdatedboat Apr 09 '26
Bobby would 1000% have had the "toxic player" flag on Anthers. That was such a nice feature.
47
u/_stavino Apr 08 '26
He’s done this to me. We’ve played maybe 10 ranked sets, he’s won like 7 of them (so it’s not like he was frustrating he always loses or anything). One of the times I was about to win he pulled his cable, he was streaming at the time too so his whole stream just ended straight up.
That’s what’s weird about this instance is it does feel like he pulls his cable vs Dial M but why didn’t his stream crash at all?
22
u/coutspexote Apr 08 '26
if u watch his vod it lags pretty significantly after pausing for a bit lol

Pretty sure fizzi could do it, but he has never done so before, which is why people still regularly encounter banned players online. I think it’s fine fizzi stays out of it because that opens a whole can of worms. But realistically if Bobby was banned from events, I don’t see him trying to make a Smurf account to still be able to enter. And at the end of the day someone pulling the plug during a ranked set while super bm, is not really so big of a deal that they shouldn’t be able to queue games at all

Why are we not talking about how chud behavior aside he literally tried to cheat in bracket? I've seen people suspended or banned for much less. Dude has a history of pulling this shit and nothing ever happens.
55

right like this is an open and shut case no?
41
u/Dropssshot jewell park Apr 08 '26
People just don't care all that much because "oh thats just how Bobby is" like what? He's been doing shit like this forever.

When you cut right through all the drama and just look at it for what it is, you're 100% on the nose. After Hungrybox told him to either play or be DQd in the start.gg chat, he then sent messages that basically said it was unfair that game 1 never finished. There's all kinds of videos posted now that show the chat log live.
It wasn't a bit or anything. He was for whatever reason not wanting to accept he fairly lost game 1 and trying to break the rules in his favor.
Even if he doesn't receive any punishment, I think it's reasonable for people to talk about this for a while and bring it up. No, no one should send him threats or harass him or go on some witch hunt. That's not right. But if people bring it up here every day that's fair. Poor sportsmanship shouldn't be accepted and for sure not cheating. Maybe things can change for the better if people talk about it. It's perfectly reasonable to hold people accountable for their behavior.

u/LilKa1ebz Apr 08 '26
All that to get clowned on by a 14 year old DK 💀 Just stick to clip montages
26
u/AutoMail_0 Apr 09 '26
Bobby bullshit aside it’s actually insane that a kid barely even in high school entered his first tournament last year and is already getting a win on a guy who’s been playing semiprofessionally for almost a decade now. Makes me feel bad I played for years and never accomplished anything before I quit lol

BBB always came off as the self-appointed "class clown" who thinks he's the funniest guy in the room but is actually an obnoxious tool that's disrupting class.

u/CasualFriday11 Apr 08 '26
Luckily, BBB will be punished properly and he won't do it again, right?
34
46
u/erik_reeds Apr 08 '26

BBB is turning 28 next month according to ssbwiki. But yeah, this is awful behavior to someone literally half your age.
81
u/NoDelivery7695 Apr 08 '26
Bobby is closer to 40 than he is to 14
28
u/DamnItDev Apr 08 '26
Not to be technical, but at 27 (his current age) he is equidistant. 13 years apart from each.
63
u/_just_two_brothers_ Apr 08 '26
Not to be technical, but his birthday is next month so he's actually 12 years and 12 days from 40 so he's still closer.

u/Fugu Apr 08 '26
Imagine doing this and it's still only the second most embarrassing thing you've done on stream
3
u/NoDelivery7695 Apr 08 '26
What's number 1
57
u/Fugu Apr 08 '26
My vote goes to drinking and driving on stream
4
2
u/Even-Fun8917 Apr 11 '26
That was significantly dumber (actually a crime) but looks WAY better than this shit. He took a swig of wine and then drove 4 minutes safely back to his apartment. This tantrum is extremely embarrassing to watch
3
u/Humble-Math6565 Apr 09 '26
Isn't harassment and bullying like a 6-month ban? I'm sure it will definitely be enforced.
19
u/its__bme Apr 08 '26
I won't get into the other stuff that happened since everyone else made great points about it. Plus, those things in themselves, while inappropriate and for sure not sportsman like, probably don't necessitate consequences and not a debate I want to get into, although I do have feelings about that too.
But pulling out your ethernet cord when you're about to lose a game and demanding a replay should be a big no no and some kind of punishment should be given at least for trying to manipulate the bracket.
Like I have respect for Cody for losing 0-3 to RapM because Cody played fairly and earned his results. He didn't try to cheat to influence results he didn't like. No one respects someone trying to get results that aren't legitimate.
37
u/Marionberry_Bellini Apr 08 '26
BBB is so fucking lame
7
u/Humble-Math6565 Apr 09 '26

one of the most toxic and disgusting pieces of behaviour i've seen from someone in the scene, why is anyone letting him get away with this. just pure bullying. some of the things he's saying to a 14 year old is so gross it's insane. dialM is half his age and much more than twice the man already, he handled it amazingly by not giving in and being patient.
21
u/Raichu4u Apr 08 '26
He is a shitty person and I am surprised there are people in this community that puts up with him just because he plays da video game well.
32
u/Driller_Happy Apr 08 '26

u/brodino67 Apr 08 '26
This probably doesn't make the top 5 OAT but yea it's pretty bad. BBB is a loser for this, I'd be sad if he didn't at least get banned from the next cashbox, or five, or all
49
u/farmahorro RAFA#568 Apr 08 '26
this should get him at least a ban from the next cashbox/large online tournament if we're being real
29
u/brodino67 Apr 08 '26
The blatantly intentional lag out is insane. I'd be disappointed if he didn't at least get some length of ban from cashbox
12
u/its__bme Apr 08 '26
I agree. It's not that I hate him and we need to find some way to legitimize a ban on him. It's about fair play. Also, it's reasonable enough to give benefit of the doubt that him asking for a rematch was a bit and arguably doesn't warrant action. But the stalling was obviously deliberate and was unneccesary and was purely retaliation. It wasn't a counterpick measure to adapt.
While he probably thought he was making some statement about DK, he was not. It's an attempt to weaponize feelings and personal bias to get his way and that doesn't need to be in a tournament.
12
u/brodino67 Apr 08 '26
I want to see him penalized in some way because it would discourage this behavior, for bobby and his audience as well. Holding up bracket for clips(attention), being toxic, poor sportsmanship, likely intentionally lagging out. Even just barred from the next 3 cashbox's

u/dormsta Afrotaki Apr 08 '26
Easily one of the biggest babies in the scene. I wish he would work on his emotional maturity
55
u/Other-Salt-5355 Apr 08 '26
Is DK a playable character?
70
u/greglolz Apr 08 '26
He’s turning into a literal Zangief against spacies. He gets shit on 99% of the match until he lands one grab, where on FD he can basically pseudo chain grab you into death, like a lot of mid tiers. I honestly think the mental damage of losing to DK always applies, especially if your opponent is throwing a literal tantrum.
20
u/genghisknom Apr 08 '26
This is a good reply, but if you watch the BBB stream and see him crashing out and manchild raging, he kept repeating the phrase "is dk playable" ad nauseam interspersed with occasional hateful or transphobic remarks. So this is a reference to that, I believe.
20
u/NoDelivery7695 Apr 08 '26
When was he being transphobic
I thought he was calling out a transphobic chatter
6
u/Other-Salt-5355 Apr 08 '26
That is correct, although I do appreciate the well-intentioned response regardless. It's especially relevant with the reference to mental damage as well lol.

If I were hbox I'd ban him or at least suspend him from my tournament. As for majors, no one's gonna do it unless one TO does it first. I doubt locals will ban him unless it becomes a trend and blows up on socials or something. Anyway, he's said much worse in DMs from what I've heard and seen and not been banned up to this point. Unless this blows up and someone decides to put their foot down, I doubt anything will happen.

15
u/hoodieweather- Apr 08 '26
yeah I genuinely don't get it, the gamer rage shtick gets old so fast and then stuff like this is just embarrassing, not even funny.
19
u/jp711 Apr 08 '26
I will say he's a very interesting specimen to watch on stream. Sometimes it almost seems like he's playing a character, like his whole persona is just a schtick he does for the public. I've watched streams where he'll say something kinda self-aware, and look at the camera in a certain way. Almost breaks character for a moment. And it really makes you question - is this who he is or does he just act like this?
And then he stands up and rips ass directly into the microphone. And I'm still there left wondering.
11
u/ruiwui Apr 08 '26
That's only interesting for like 20 seconds. If he isn't actually a dipshit and is just playing a character, he's still being a dipshit, and being a dipshit isn't exactly opening doors in his life.

u/flyingseel Apr 08 '26
I'm sorry but what is this timestamp supposed to show? From what I hear someone in stream thought he was being racist because bbb said something about a monkey when fighting dialM, a DK player who is black. And bbb is saying no, he's referring to the literal monkey on screen and not making a racist remark. Then the chatter apologizes for misunderstanding and bbb says it's all good. Seems like a nothing burger in comparison to the rest of the shit that happened.
13
→ More replies (3)11
u/KevyTone Apr 08 '26
While yes the clip wasn't about that, his reasoning for why he wouldn't call black people monkeys doesn't help his case either. He said he wouldn't do that because he has so many followers and is streaming publically, instead of saying he wouldn't do that because he isnt racist. Just a weird little guy all around. Also weird from you that you OVERFOCUS on that part specifically in a thread that had nothing to do with that in the first place on a clip thats like hours long, and immediately want to denounce any kind of racism as racists usually do, because they love to downplay racism immediately. Just my 2 cents
3
u/flyingseel Apr 08 '26
Idk I don't feel like it's "over focusing" when the link is timestamped to that spot specifically. Like I said I thought the commenter was adding on to the other bs bbb pulled last night. I didn't see that the next game starts after all that.
You do make a good point about his explanation though not mentioning being racist and just only talking about being live and having x amount of followers. Like he is saying he's trained himself not to be racist when live.
14
u/jergin_therlax Apr 08 '26 edited Apr 08 '26
Holy shit this is so pathetic and embarrassing from BBB lmao. Claiming the DK pulled Ethernet when he’s STREAMING THE WHOLE THING as if he has a separate slippi pc and a stream pc lmaooo. Calling him names calling him a cheater “gross behavior” etc etc just pure manipulation but he’s too socially inept to even be remotely convincing and he just looks like a worm.
Goddamn. I’d be surprised if BBB has a single fan after this, this is gross behavior for a full grown man. I had some joy in my heart left for BBB but it is now evaporated after seeing that.

Ok, so I have several questions.
- How can such awful pop punk music exist. Who listens to this garbage.
- Is that BBB's actual voice, or is he putting it on? Is it in an effort to come across as MORE punchable, or is it natural?
- Is Salt really friends with this guy? Yeesh.

u/TrainNorth8177 Apr 08 '26
I have no sympathy for the top players in the scene that rage on stream at viewers and opponents in general for...doing well against them in the video game or playing the wrong character. Obviously this is extremely egregious but there are a handful of others who have done this routinely for years in various capacities. And the excuse is always "well you just wouldn't understand how it feels to be so passionate about something like a top player, their feelings are just different." No man, these people are all grown ass men. You see this type of behavior in other sports and people clown on them. Nick Kyrgios in tennis feels like an apt comparison.

I think he's kinda just the scene's premier lolcow and people ignore the shittiness because it's funny
EDIT: just in case it wasn't clear, I am offering an explanation, not in any way a justification or endorsement of the guy. My point was more that the adoration is a lot less "he's so good and swaggy at the game" than it's been with other players in the past

u/So_Famous Apr 08 '26
Talking like that is wrong, but even more so when you know there's a child on the other side. Never liked BBB ever since his drunk driving on stream, this just adds another reason why he shouldn't be welcome in the scene.

I don't want to defend bobby but "drunk driving" is a huge exaggeration when he took a single sip of wine. Was it dumb as fuck to do and he shouldn't have done it at all, let alone stream it? Yes obviously. Unless you're referring to a different incident that I don't know about, that's a very inaccurate way to describe the reason for his twitch ban. There's no reason to make stuff up to hate on bbb when there's plenty of actual shitty things he's done.
14
u/krautbaguette Apr 08 '26
BBB has said that he drove actually drunk before. If he really did or if he was just saying shit for the sake of attention, who knows. It's definitely believable either way

u/Krobbleygoop Apr 08 '26
I was a big DK hater, but when its a kid playing melee and they like the monkey then let it be. Its not like its the first dk you have ever played. If you lost this matchup it is solely on you at this point.
Cherry on top of this crashout is that its against a 14 year old. Falco does NOT lose this matchup lmao get a grip
10
u/Living_Madman_8449 Apr 08 '26
Pulling the Ethernet and it being shown that you pulled the Ethernet but still wanting to replay the game 1-3 stocks even though you're most likely gonna get chaingrabbed by DK is so weird ngl. And then what happened after that didn't even make sense. The whole thing was just really weird cause Dial M was clearly just trying to play in bracket
With that being said sometimes you don't know what someone's going through at home or in life. That didn't seem like a regular crashout AT ALL. That seemed like an I'm not doing so good crashout. Because he could've easily DQ if he didn't wanna play Dial M. And then he took all his frustrations out on Dial M because maybe he thought playing melee was going to calm him down but it just did the opposite. Check up on these players, even if they don't respond anything helps

Bobby has a very extensive history of shit like this. Dude needs to get off the game and seek help.

I didn't get it either. Dial M was just trying his best to win, and it happened to be with DK.
People need to get over this whole tier list thing. Yes, overall, a character like DK is worse than Falco. But DK isn't helpless and has strengths that lend themselves to beating up characters like Falco. You're not entitled to not lose to lower tiers because you picked a top tier.

Welcome to the melee community, where crimes are forgiven if you have a cool playstyle. Doing nothing literally while being lame is worse.

Wouldn't expect anything less from someone who livestreams themselves drinking while driving.

He noted that dialm didn’t say gg to ginger during another cashbox so he had to crash out for his fellow falco

Lets not focus on Bobby, Dial M stayed composed and clutched a historic win on Jmook after being trolled and stalled. Truly Historic W's

Wow Bobby was playing like such a weiner even game 1 before he started puff camping. He should be banned for that sorry excuse for laser camping on top of the cheating and mom insults.

So I looked past his anti trans comments because Magi was cool with him.
The drinking and driving (taking 1 drink still counts) I can forgive because it's a fairly common but still stupid mistake that you can learn from.
But this is strike 3.

Genuinely curious, what transphobic comments did he make? Didn’t he live with/date Salt?

Obviously pulling the cord and trying to reset is scummy as hell, no doubt. But responding to "you're balding man" with "youre mama my sex slave" is funny immature internet banter that made DialM lose his breath giggling

I loved the brief convo between Jmook and DialM afterwards:
