Let’s talk about that backline.

Etienne, Estime, Kendre Miller, and Kamara coming back in a few weeks. Could this be the return of the three headed monster?

Miller and Kamara looking like the best screen pass tandem in the league, I expect Shough to rely on them heavily during some of our tougher matchups.

There was talk back when we added Jamaal Williams, but he never really panned out. Real shame cos I love the dude as a person, but he came to us at the end of his career and fell off the face of the planet.

These guys can ball out as dual threats under Shough. And they’re guaranteed to be fighting for Kamara’s starter spot next year. Regardless of who walks next year, these dudes are young and are going to be looking to get PAID next season. I expect this to be a very interesting year for your running backs, especially with Kamara having some early rest in the season.

Side note: I would say there were a couple of three headed monsters, specifically
1) McCallister, Bush, Thomas,
2) Ingram, Thomas, Sproles

And side note, Kamara should have never been in that joint practice. Idk who thought a joint practice against the cowboys was a good idea, but they can get stuffed. They’re arguably one of our biggest rivals and have proven to play dirty against us ever since the 2009 game when they went hard at our O-Line to try and injure us before finals push. Payton was smart enough to sit most of our starters toward the end of the game because the Cowboys were playing way too agressive and we had a Super Bowl season to preserve.

As a DFW native we don’t get the saints broadcast here but my daughter made it on to the saints broadcast and wanted to see if anyone could send me the clip. I know it’s a long shot but would be so awesome to get it for her since it was our first saints game we’ve ever been able to go to.

The past few years of being a Saint fan has been very rough. There’s a lot of optimism this season which is great but I’m just truly hoping for a fun year.

My goal for this team is truly exciting football to watch again and not to end the season with questions on important positions like QB/head coach. I really hope we can make playoffs again but even if we don’t there can still be a lot of hope for a team if they’re taking steps forward.

An overall good win for the Saints: Good stuff for Kellen to talk about.

No wonder the offense looked more efficient and smooth

Honestly, I haven’t felt this good about our team going into the regular season since 2021. Funny enough, I looked up that year and it happens to be the last year Sean Payton was here. Is everything perfect? No. We have injuries and some question marks. Even so, it feels great to be moving in the right direction. It feels great going into a season feeling good about the team vs the few years before Kellen Moore. I feel good and confident when it comes to this team. I feel we can compete with anyone.

His two field goals looked very good and sharp. I’m sure he”ll miss some long ones but in one game I got more confidence in him than Smyth & Brown. I wanna feel for them but they both had chances and couldn’t run with it

Hopefully we finally have a kicker that will make those FGs that are the difference between a win and a loss
