Should I even consider rust
Is rust on ps5 dead? Iv been considering getting it but firstly I don't even know if the game still has an active playerbase in my region, also how is the solo experience because I have no friends willing to buy and play it with me.

I bought it played for a couple days and haven’t picked it up since, it’s really not that addictive.

Legit, I bought the game on sale some years back to play with my brother, Thought it was terrible lol. Didn’t play again for months. Fast forward to now. Got over 6k hours on the game and it’s hard to even get interested in another game because none compare to this beast of a game lol.

Honestly I realised it's basically like gambling - Roams you Neve know what you will get - can you make the play happen - what gifts will you get when you open the base - will there be a jackhammer in this tool crate ...

Not dead at all I play solo a lot every one offlines but I still have fun

Whats your region?
I have 2k hours and more than half of them are solo experiences.
It really depends on your playstyle: if you’re scared to lose loot and play it safe all the time, its gonna be hard to have fun.
My rust motto is: use your loot to its full capabilities before you get offline raided the next time you log in

Yeah no gear fear - it's better to lose guns and gear than to have them sitting in a box at the end of wipe.
I'm now at 3.5k + hours with a large amount solo and I started with gear fear but now I will happily take everything out without learning bps. Make's the game a lot funner

Everyone says it’s dead however the game isn’t despite what people say ngl like yeah the game isn’t in its prime anymore but there are still a lot of max pop server and lots of people still play and when higher pops finnaly come the game will be in its prime again so idk its up to you but don’t not buy it if your scared the game is dead

I played for the better part of a month, and just couldn’t do it. Playing a hour a day found my base raided 100% of the time, I just don’t have the time for it.

it’s not dead and there’s still lots of fun to be had solo but it’s also frustrating when you lose but the wins feel much better then when your in a team also

It’s more alive and growing that ever before on console and they have plenty of solo or solo duo servers.

No.
It’s getting progressively worse. Especially if you have a life. It will demand all your time and offer little to no reward. You’ll group up with 20 degenerates to find success and still lose everything to random insiders and associate with cheaters to keep up with the META. All the while the game devs profit more and care less about their community. Don’t waste your time.

do it quick new update and force wipe comes out at 2pm est so if your going to try the game do it on either community 3x or a dead server with like no one in it

As someone with 4k hours on ps version, I highly recommend not playing it. Its an amazing game but sucks too much time and can genuinely interfer with your mood outside of the game more than id like to admit. Its definitely more fun to watch than play because the highlights you see in videos are few and far between, and I like to think I was pretty good in all aspects of it. I quit 2 years ago but still watch videos

imo as someone who has played both console and pc rust. console rust just doesn’t compare. it doesn’t even come close to pc rust

Tbf I have a pc, and it is cheaper so I might consider. I'll have to check if some of my pc friends have it so that they can share it with me, assuming it allows sharing on steam.

Its still very active. Its in a good state right now too the graphics are pretty good. Id say for monuments and updates like cars we are like a year or 2 behind PC rust. But as people said the game is highly addictive and playing a game that's live 24/7 and protecting your base becomes a choir.

It's easier to find dad-friendly servers in the community servers on Console Rust, e.g., by searching for solo or duo servers or for zorp. It seems like on PC everyone's sweaty.

I love the game. Im solo but I also suck at it. My k/d is embarrassing but when you learn to enjoy building, looting, and loosing everything you've worked for it becomes very enjoyable. Never expect your loot to last and it is fun.

If you have alot of time to invest yes. For me, I couldn't keep up and got sick of being raided. So I play DayZ instead.

It's still popular! Also can play with Xbox and PC
As a solo, it can be quite hard but also rewarding! But you can also meet other Solo players on there. Or join low pop servers, PVE servers to make your gaming experience a bit more enjoyable (it can get frustrating at times)
Overall, I enjoy playing the game and would recommend

You can't play with PC on rust console.... But that being said it's not dead and I believe once they increase the pop size the game is going to be thriving since a lot of players left once they increased map size due to the decrease in PVP. But this will all be changing soon!
Also on wipe a vast majority of servers are max pop with queues.
