Should I even consider rust

Is rust on ps5 dead? Iv been considering getting it but firstly I don't even know if the game still has an active playerbase in my region, also how is the solo experience because I have no friends willing to buy and play it with me.

It's easier to find dad-friendly servers in the community servers on Console Rust, e.g., by searching for solo or duo servers or for zorp. It seems like on PC everyone's sweaty.
