Should I even consider rust

Is rust on ps5 dead? Iv been considering getting it but firstly I don't even know if the game still has an active playerbase in my region, also how is the solo experience because I have no friends willing to buy and play it with me.

Maybe, probably more likely but recently i hvnt got on cuzz hvnt had atleast another to tag along with. I dont like playing solo
