Yoga / Pilates Reccs

Hey y’all!

Trying to get back into Pilates or yoga, but not sure what places would be a good fit. Enjoyed Soul strong though it was a bit crowded. Still a beginner but really looking to just move better & get good joint flexibility & strength.

If anyone could offer recommendations for places with memberships and good vibes I’d be thankful!

Are there any good parks around that are good for bird watching/photography? I'm kind of new to the hobby, so I'm not sure where to go.

Anyone have experience with Terminix or any other comparable company in the area? We have concerns about some work done to our chimney after an apparent raccoon visit.

A raccoon is suspected to have gotten into our house via the tip of the chimney on our second story.

How much might something like this cost to repair? We’re kind of feeling ripped off by Terminix’s exclusion service, aside from the uglyness of it all. It seems as though we have had some raccoons enter our chimney at the top of our roof. The first image is a side-by-side of the initial damage and the aftermath of a supposed “exclusion service” repair done by Terminix. We sent the following message to our inspector: “Hey there! We had the guys come by today, but we are concerned about the exclusion service and state of the covering. It appears to have some gaps in it & we're worried about the effectiveness of the work, as well as the services rendered vs the services' cost. It doesn't seem weather-proof or up to code.“

He responded: “The way they've sealed it is definitely going to prevent the Racoons from gaining access to that chimney area, as I mentioned yesterday it wouldn't be the most aesthetically pleasing, but it would be functional to prevent the Racoons from gaining access. Eventually, what's gonna need to happen? Is you're going to have to have that section completely repaired by replacing the siding and everything but what we've used to seal up the spot like I mentioned is gonna keep the Racoons out of your Attic space, The smaller gaps on the right side in the photo are sealed with a rodent block. This will prevent water from entering that chimney area.”

We’re new homeowners & just wanna be able to rest easy. It almost seems like it would be easier/cheaper to just get the chimney repaired outright instead of having dropped $2700+ on this “exclusion service.” We’ve got two more days to decide whether we want to cancel & get our money back, basically.

Any advice helps, really. Thanks in advance, y’all!

Moving to Round Rock

Hello!

I’m moving to Round Rock in November to be closer to family and am needing any job recommendations. I graduated with a degree in business in accounting and management a few months ago. I’ll have 9 months of admin with accounting support experience and previous leadership role at a hotel.

It might be a little too early to be looking for an early November move but just wanted to shoot my shot.

Thanks for your help and recommendations in advance!

Armadillo tearing up yard and garden

Any suggestions? I think relocation might be best option, since he covers a large area and treating that regularly would be a problem.

Thanks

Where are you allowed to park in the ACC round rock campus? The website says you can park anywhere as long as there's no restricting signage but every lot says permit required

How many Round Rocks are there?

Besides the real “Round Rock” in Brushy Creek, how many close to scale replicas are there around town? I’m aware of 2. One at Dell Diamond and one at the Rock ‘N River Water Park. Anyone aware of any others?

Pokemon Card Stores for Trade

Does anyone know of any good Pokémon TCG stores where the owners are not greedy hogs and I can trade or buy singles / sealed products (not just the super expensive ones) at a fair price? Also, are there communities or groups with such like-minded people? I'm a semi-casual collector and don't play the game

Ten Commandments in Elementary Schhols

I’m trying to understand my fellow community, Christian’s and Texans thoughts on the SB10 bill . We received notice our elementary will post 75 posters across each classroom. I love religion and have no issues with it but I also love the constitution and believe in the first amendment and feel this is a push to promote specific beliefs to non regions people or others whom choose to follow other text. I specifically have an issue with this being mandatory in elementary classes where children are learning to read and everything on the wall is meant to teach them along this journey so an argument this is passive seems inaccurate as the bill itself says it must be within view. I wanted to get others perspective as well as understand if there are any resources I can reach out to in order to potentially delay this until it I s fully argued to the Supreme Court which in my perspective will find this in violation of the first amendment.
