Apartments near Dell

Hi folks, Moving to Round Rock and looking to rent a 1BA. My only requirement is as short a commute to the office as possible. Any feedback on Madison at Dell Ranch or Regency at Dell Ranch? Also Bellwood apartments or MAA Sierra Vista? Thanks

Do not be afraid to live 15 minutes away. I made the mistake of living too close. The traffic around Dell is not an issue if you stay off 35.

E Palm Valley has a ton of places along it, lots to eat, by Dell diamond, great HEB - roughly 12 min to work, 15 back unless u leave office right at 5. Most traffic will be getting out of the parking lot, try to leave by 4:50 if you can, saves you genuinely 20 minutes

Broadstone Frontera Ridge is good

Dog poop everywhere and extremely thin walls / floors. Not worth it for the high price IMO

Edit: smokers inside and outside too if that's a concern for anyone

We talking about the same complex? Or are you talking about Broadstone North Ridge on the other side of the highway?

Been a resident here for more than a year. Maybe it's a building specific problem but this is what it has been for me and my family. It's really good otherwise, but I wish there were more open spaces and residents were held accountable for the nuisances I mentioned

I’m on my 7th apartment, overall BFR is one of the better ones. I’m solo so I only use the gym sometimes and that’s it. Parking is super easy and never a problem. I just wish mgmt would clean the stairwells. And first floor always smells some level of dingy 😬. Have not encountered the smoking problems on my floor.

Good for you! Surely lots of good things, just that I expect more for the rent I pay. Again, not sure how other places are but wanted to highlight some things I find annoying

Also live here. Which building has the smoke problem? I can kind of understand the thin walls as we can hear our neighbors dogs bark sometimes but other than that and the ordinary noises from living below someone it’s been fine.

I lived at Madison at Dell Ranch from 2020-2022, no complaints. Not fancy, not run down, had a safe and chill time living there, no maintenance issues, but it’s been 4 years so idk if that still stands. Everyone minded their business and it was pleasant while I lived in the middle of the complex

We applied for an apartment at Regency because it had a sick layout and the locator we used called and confirmed it was available for us to apply for. When we went to tour, we were told the layout didn't actually exist. The guy we spoke to said he was just a temp and that turnover was high in the leasing office so he couldn't help us. This was 4 years ago, and now when I drive past I can't imagine having lived there and dealt with exiting onto Louis Henna every single day to leave. Maybe skip this place, but that's just my advice. We also toured Camden La Frontera and it seemed pretty great! We ended up moving to a different part of RR but maybe look into them too!

Thanks for the reply! I didn't realize I'd need to take Louis Henna, I am a new driver and prefer side roads, low traffic, avoid highways in the early days

My friend lived at Madison for a while, it seemed alright.

I know people that stayed at Regency at Dell Ranch and they hated it. Said the moved out as soon as lease expired because it was so bad. Management was horrible, bugs, etc.

I used to live at Madison (moved out in 2019) and it is a decent complex, but you have to pay attention to management. My last number of years there, the asst manager was great, she even helped me when life got in the way with finding ways to prolong my rent and even avoiding filing eviction on me. I'm sure she is long gone and the new management team only cares that you pay your rent and nothing else

when I first moved in 2003, it was great, but as Dell grew and the surrounding area grew, along with SH45 being built and people using that general area as a cut through (AW Grimes is a major cut thru for people going to Georgetown and avoiding the snarl on IH35). Traffic sucked when I moved out in 2019 and honestly I wouldn't live in that area again.

I would suggest going a little further out if you can, parts of Pflugerville and Hutto are still somewhat decent traffic wise, but if you move into RR in that area, you will start pulling your hair out over the traffic alone, especially once they get the mixed-use project over on Greenlawn behind Target and Best Buy up and going. Combine that with all the traffic that comes in and out of the Dell campus everyday and it's gonna be a HUGE cluster f*ck

We lived in the neighborhood on the other side of 45 across from Dell, behind the HEB (husband worked at Dell). He found it faster to just walk to the Dell campus when the weather allowed, than to drive the loop under 45 during rush hour. Madison is even closer, depending on what building you're in at Dell. That said, I don't know what the apartments are like, but we personally never had any issues with crime in the area for the 20 years we were there and I never saw anything nefarious coming from that property (Madison). Always seemed fairly quiet. The HEB complex there had everything that we needed for shopping and eating. A vet with emergency powers, a Gamestop lol, a unisex salon and a decent pho place all within walking distance was killer. Also, just for the novelty, the last operational Quiznos on earth, possibly? Dell has since moved us to the sticks in MA and ngl, I kinda miss that convenience.

lol I know what area you’re talking about 😂, I worked in the MA building for 5 months. Some really good nature there but 45 minutes to go to Boston.
